Perrin Aybara's Journey to an Elite Powerlifting Total

@Perrin Aybara have you given those wraps a try yet?

I forgot to throw them in my gym bag on my heavy triple day Saturday. I think I'll just sub my box squat triple with a triple with those wraps next Wednesday just to try them out.

Got decent equipment to practice on?
What will your road test be done in?

We're mostly using a Freightliner Cascadia, I believe it's like an 04. That's what we'll be testing in as well.

If youre talking about the ABC wraps he got, he posted that he didnt like them. i believe he said they are all stopping power and no rebound.

Yeah, I didn't care for those at all. Any of y'all here are welcome to them if you think you'd like them. Just PM me and I'll toss them in the mail.

Definitely understand. I know you have have been under the gun.

Funny thing being in class and learning to drive a truck makes me just as or maybe more tired than working construction all day. I think it's just the combination of listening to instructions, standing around in the blazing heat watching, then focusing hard on driving and then piling in that bunk in the back with freezing AC blasting directly at me just puts me unconscious. Everyone in the class is like that. You hit that bunk and it's goodnight.

See. What did i tell ya? Wait till you get out there everyday. Im quite certain if working your ass off was the key to heaven. Heaven would be full of trukkers

Yeah I hate school. Because sitting around listening to an instructor just tires me out more than any manual labor. I don't know how people can have a desk job. I prefer manual labor over any type of paper pushing or typing.

I enjoy driving honestly, always have. Downshifting I'm really struggling with right now though, everything else i think I'm passable at for the test in two weeks. I was parallel parking perfect today over and over.

I could do it if the money was right, but I don't think I'd enjoy it. Never done anything close to that except retail. I'm really good at school because I can memorize and recall information easily. It definitely puts me to sleep though.

Patience. You will get it. Just stay in gear and hold the clutch when in doubt. Never free gear it. They will fail you

We've been warned about that. If I can't get it by test day I'll do that and just reset to fourth once I'm stopped. We're testing with a flatbed trailer and I'm much better with it, so that's a plus for all the backing and parking.

I plan on visiting your gym next week sometime. Probably middle to end of week. I will PM you when I plan to head that way.
Cool man! I have to train early mornings during the week but flexible on weekends! Let me know and if I can't be there I'll tell the owner to be looking for ya. He's a great dude!

Fourth is where we're starting from a stop. Sixth is the recovery gear if we're in the higher gears and screw up. The truck is a 10 speed, by the way.

Me to brother. I'd like to meet up somewhere next year and do a meet with some of you guys as well!

Hopefully my life is more stable and I can do a better prep than my current disaster. I'm game though.
