Must be getting down to the wire at school for you PA, bet it must feel like getting ready for a meet.

With the motivation and drive you possessed in the gym you should be able to knock that CDL test out easy peasy just like making a big pull.
 
I think I'm going to work off one block for a few weeks and then go for a single from the floor. Depends how close i am to meet time.

Everything will fall into place for you. You have a month. Is the meet in the beginning of September?

I was looking at meets. There is an SPF meet here in my state in September. But my wife will be a month out from delivering our baby.

Mid September. I'll be back on track before the year is over. I'm not very familiar with SPF.

Similiar to APA in that allow 3mm knee wraps. Right now I just want to get my first meet under my belt. My gym numbers tell me that I could place in top 3. But we have rubber coated plates not sure how accurate they are. Nonetheless. I'll have my calibrated plates here shortly.

I want to meet up with you all for that meet that would be a great first experience for me.

The only meet I've done was SPF. I've seen some negative reviews online about the SPF, but the meet I attended was ran great and the judging was pretty strict which goes against some reviews I read. My next meet will be SPF as well, if my old ass joints let me!

There is a SPF meet in September. I think it's somewhere here in our state. @Johnny442

Awful workout not worth mentioning. Hit RPE 10 on a warm-up set of deadlift and called it a day. Going on little sleep this weekend. Ran into this girl at the bank Friday I hadn't talked to in years and got invited to a brewery Saturday with her and a friend. Then ended going back to watch movies at the friend's house. Then back to the girl's house I know and stayed the weekend. Stayed up till 2:30am this morning and got up at 4:40am to make it back in time to get ready for school. Gotta stop doing this so much.

But anyway, the good news I got downshifting figured mostly out. Our instructor is off today and tomorrow and they brought in this older guy as a sub. He got his CDL in 1970. I wasn't sure about him when we were just practicing in the lot. Then after lunch we went out on the road and I seriously learned more from him about shifting in two hours than I have in the last two weeks. He's a lot harder on us than the other guy, but had me downshift over and over and explained it in a way that made sense until i figured it out. So, super psyched about that.

So, I'm gonna get more rest this week and try to up my calories. I'll be starting the drol again in a couple weeks. Kinda considering picking up some var and going 50mg each on those rather than just 100mg of drol. When I ran var earlier this year was when i hit 550lbs on squat and 405lbs on bench. Kinda wondering if a var/drol stack would give me killer strength gains leading into the meet. I think a peak is unrealistic at this time, so just going to train normally and deload the week of the meet.
 
Hey Perrin haven't been around much lately and just got caught up. So you are in for September? I'm signed up. Not sure if my knees are going to hold up to do a full meet but at a minimum I'm in for push/pull.

I'm in for fun at this point as long as getting a new job doesn't interfere. All my lifts are total garbage right now though. Really struggling with eating and sleeping enough and it's kicking my ass in the gym.

im all signed up for Deadlift only. i leave for vacation the next day so this will be a nice way to kick off the vacay
