Awful workout not worth mentioning. Hit RPE 10 on a warm-up set of deadlift and called it a day. Going on little sleep this weekend. Ran into this girl at the bank Friday I hadn't talked to in years and got invited to a brewery Saturday with her and a friend. Then ended going back to watch movies at the friend's house. Then back to the girl's house I know and stayed the weekend. Stayed up till 2:30am this morning and got up at 4:40am to make it back in time to get ready for school. Gotta stop doing this so much.
But anyway, the good news I got downshifting figured mostly out. Our instructor is off today and tomorrow and they brought in this older guy as a sub. He got his CDL in 1970. I wasn't sure about him when we were just practicing in the lot. Then after lunch we went out on the road and I seriously learned more from him about shifting in two hours than I have in the last two weeks. He's a lot harder on us than the other guy, but had me downshift over and over and explained it in a way that made sense until i figured it out. So, super psyched about that.
So, I'm gonna get more rest this week and try to up my calories. I'll be starting the drol again in a couple weeks. Kinda considering picking up some var and going 50mg each on those rather than just 100mg of drol. When I ran var earlier this year was when i hit 550lbs on squat and 405lbs on bench. Kinda wondering if a var/drol stack would give me killer strength gains leading into the meet. I think a peak is unrealistic at this time, so just going to train normally and deload the week of the meet.
