Perrin Aybara's Journey to an Elite Powerlifting Total

How much did it cost? Google says $50-600 per tooth.

I know. It's something I've been worried about for years because of complications that can arise due to it. This year has been the worst for me. My medical insurance is pretty good and I've kept it up even though I haven't been working. No dental insurance at all though, so I'm hoping getting them pulled isn't too expensive and they have some kind of payment plans.

The weird thing is the sore throat isn't even that bad. Mostly just an annoyance. I can still eat as much as normal if I try even though my appetite is almost nothing. The fatigue and overall just feeling like shit is the worst. Been reading about infection and looks like that's common if you're body is using all its energy trying to fight it off.

I'll definitely update on what's going on when I find out for sure.
Its been a few years back for me. Had good dental and medical at the time think I only paid $100 out of pocket.

I just had two wisdom teeth pulled last week. They were both impacted badly. One had broken off above the gum line and the gum grew over it. Anyway I paid 130$ out of pocket after insurance. I went only lidocaine bc it's cheaper then getting the gas or being knocked out.

Do you have any idea what your insurance covered? From what I've seen looking at plans most don't cover more than 50%. Mine are broken off as well and that always made me think it'd be super expensive, but I've been looking online and it doesn't seem that's the case.

I can get the quote from the doctor if you want. For some reason it hasn't updated on my online account for the insurance although the previous dentist visits have. I also have some crappy ass insurance, $50 deductible I think and $1000 max coverage per year. My coworker's boyfriend had two pulled and he had no insurance. It was around $1000 she said but he was knocked out with the gas and other shit.

Not a big deal unless it's handy. I'm gonna talk to some friends and family about local dentists and see what's what. I'm not too worried about being knocked out. Had a tooth pulled in prison with just the numbing shot and ibuprofen after.

Here's what my insurance company estimates the cost of simple removal in my geographical area. I'm sure your area is cheaper as I'm in an expensive county in the northeast. Far right column shows what an out of network dentist would charge roughly which means I would have no coverage through them and pay full amount out of pocket.

If money is a consideration then defitely don't go gas route. It would have doubled my out of pocket cost. Lidocaine is plenty to numb the pain. They'll give you 800mg ibuprofen and 5-10mg percent after

Edit* I haven't even touched the Percs and only took 2-3 of the ibuprofen and probably didn't even need those.

Thanks, Doc. $100-200 per tooth is what I'm expecting.

Another great reason to visit Thailand, dentistry is really cheap there too.

Worth it just for a few teeth pulled? I'd think the round trip tickets and hotels would be more expensive?

Make sure the doc injects the lidocaine into your gums but also in the roof of your mouth. The injection will sting a little but if he forgets to do it like mine did on one side....when he goes in their like a madman it will hurt like a sumbitch. I reflexively kicked the nurse in her boob bc of it lol

I was thinking that this is another item to add to the list.

Add PRP treatments, pharmacy goodies, daily deep tissue massages, dentistry, and whatever else ails you, and it's looking pretty good.

You can get RT flights well under $1K and a daily spend btw $200-$300 is plenty - including temporary roommate(s), see below.

Good hotels are easily had for under $50 per night.

Very pleasant roommates are available in the $50-$100 range depending on negotiation skills, duration, and your pickiness.

Beyond my budget unfortunately. I couldn't manage $100-200 a tooth unless they have some kind of payment plan.

I had 2 pulled also about 2 weeks ago. Shit sucks. One was infected and hurt like a son of a bitch.
