Perrin Aybara's Journey to an Elite Powerlifting Total

Ok my bad I think I do remember us talking about that. Definitely hazmat equals more pay! Go ahead and get tanker also. Those go hand and hand usually. Tanker is so easy to get. I passed mine the first time and studied while I waited to take the test lol.

Yeah, asked about that at the DMV and they said test only for tanker. Multiple choice, so gotta be pretty easy. HAZMAT looks like some hoops to jump through, but soon as I get some time to drive to their office I'm making an appointment and getting that going. There's a seasonal job that requires both that I'm gonna apply for if I can get the endorsements in time. The listing just says Class A or B with tanker and hazmat, so worth a try.

Hazmat was kinda tough for me. Took some serious studying. I don’t wanna clog your thread anymore. If you wanna chat more hit me up privately one day. Again good luck.

Company truck broke down on me two hours from home, so I'm waiting on a tow and ride home.

I was looking at numbers and timelines for this meet last night and I think I'm gonna start the var next week, which would be a week early. That would make a total of seven weeks on var rather than six weeks at 50mg. Might go 75mg the last two weeks depending on how it's going. Never went over 50mg so far or six weeks, so not really sure. But do want it getting in my system earlier.

Having no pain on bench has me excited and I'd like to push it to maybe 425lbs or so if possible. Deadlift is moving up nicely and on my next heavy day in three weeks if I can get 640x5-6 on my AMRAP set I'll be looking really good for 700+ at this meet. Have the bench AMRAP on Thursday and I'm upping the weight from 285lbs to 300-315lbs depending on how I'm feeling. 8-10 reps with 300-315lbs would put me on track for 400+ on meet day.

Oh that sucks and maybe you should have towed your car behind the truck lmao jk jk.

Now that’s a good sign your numbers are falling into place and hopefully the momentum will build (as long as no increased risk of injury).

Go get it !

The worst part of a driving job.

Nice numbers big guy! You’re almost as strong as me :p
Kidding lol

Weren't you going after a 500lb bench? I doubt I'll get near that. I'm mostly a one trick deadlift pony.
Was/am lol. Had to take a break from the super heavy shit for a minute. Too many pains. Back, neck, shoulder, wrist lol. Shit was killing me. I hit 485 flat is my pr. Starting to work back up slowly. I hit 315x13 a week or so ago then 405x4 My method is mixed between heavy DB incline and flat and flat barbell. That’s what worked for me last time and heavy tris. My gym on has 125lbs DB though so I have to make docwith reps of 20 for those incline and flat DB press. Gotta hit it soon I’m getting old ha.

Goals 225x50 current 38
315x25 current 16
405x10 current 6
510 current 485

Edit: just to be clear I have not been able to hit all these currents at the same time. I usually work on one for a while then switch.

Hope you nail 500+ at least once and you can then feel good you did it.

Father Time is never kind and I am feeling it myself now as the hurts are coming.

I just got my hazmat bro. It’s just a multiple choice test and some finger prints. Prints are like $150. Then you wait a month for the results.

If you’re looking to get into hazmat and want a SUPER easy job, let me know bro. I just took a job fueling trains for a big locomotive company (they’re all over the country) and I literally sleep all night at work. 70k+ a year.

That sounds promising. I'll PM you about it.

Comp bench 300x3, 300x3, 300x3, 300x10

Box squat 370x5, 390x5, 410x5

5 count paused bench 250lbs for 5x3

Banded kettlebell swings 3x20
Superset with
Ab wheel 3x25
Superset with
Dumbbell biceps curls 3x20

Adductors and abductors with bands 3x20
Superset with
Wide grip pull ups 3x10
Superset with
Cable triceps press downs 3x20

I should've went 315lbs on my 3x3 + AMRAP. I underestimated myself and thought 300lbs was gonna be a struggle. Bench coming back nicely and still no pain.

209lbs

Comp deadlift 545x5, 585x5, 585 miss, 545 miss

Paused slingshot bench 325x3, 350x3, 365x3

Belt squats 6 35's for 3x30

Chest supported row 3x10
Superset with
Hamstring curls 3x10
Superset with
Plate shrugs 3x20

I guess I'm just not recovering on deadlift. I'm sleeping 7-8 hours every night, eating around 5k calories a day, running over a gram of gear a week with HGH and MK 677, so seems like recovery should be on point. It just defies logic to miss weights that are normally in the 10-12 rep range. I don't know, I guess because deadlift is so taxing I need to drastically drop my 5x5 weight the week after a peak set day. Maybe try 545lbs for all sets next time. I think I'm gonna drop box squats on Thursday in favor of something lighter.

Maybe your CNS is fried?

Maybe your CNS is fried?

Yeah, a 615lbs deadlift AMRAP set might do that regardless of gear, food, and rest. I've had that happen before.

I've been running the numbers and comparing them to my other lifts. Going by my actual best deadlift 1RM doing 585x5x5 is pretty aggressive. Going by the RPE of that 615lb AMRAP it was spot on for 5x5, but it's not taking into account the fatigue from the AMRAP potentially still being an issue.
