Perrin Aybara's Journey to an Elite Powerlifting Total

Shit man, you’ll be pressing 5 plates in a couple years.

I think my next blast is gonna be focused primarily on bench. Maintaining / growing the others is easy

Bench and deadlift have always been easier for me with squat always being the struggle. Weird because I think my squat form is better than my bench form.

Also started back on berberine today. My fasted blood glucose was 94 this morning and has been creeping up lately. I'd like to finish out this Sheiko routine on MK until I test maxes in like six weeks. Then dropping it.

More easy stuff today. The 340x4x4 at the end moved especially fast.

Another couple goals I wanted to add in, health related rather than lifting. Get resting heart rate down and get better sleep. I got a Fitbit a few months ago when I was still doing cardio pretty heavy and my resting pulse was consistently low 60's. When I dropped the cardio it climbed up to mid 70's over the next month and a half. I've been doing HIIT a little on my off days lately and it's started to creep back down. I'd like to get back in the 60's. Gonna continue with the HIIT plus a little steady state after on as many non training days as I can.

On the sleep side assuming thing is accurate I'm averaging about 7 1/2 hours a night, but under an hour of deep sleep. I'm happy with 7-8 hours of total sleep, I'd just like increase that deep sleep number. Been reading and it seems I need about double the deep sleep for recovery purposes. Gonna get a weighted blanket and one of those sleep noise machines.

Woke up sick this morning and after doing those deadlifts it was taking everything I had not to puke. So I finished up the bench and called it a day. Those 1 + 1/2 (x2) deadlift are extremely challenging even with light weight. Part of it might be being sick too though.
