Perrin Aybara's Journey to an Elite Powerlifting Total

Are you still on TRT doses? How you feeling with the rate of progress compared to blasting?

-I mean, I know it’s slower, but do you feel it’s sustained?

Yes, 150mg a week of test e. Besides that 8 week high test blast last spring I've been on a TRT dose since October 2019. Have added 20mg a day of var the last few weeks for a boost.

I think if I wasn't plagued by injury I could match or surpass my all time squat and deadlift numbers on TRT alone. Not bench, 405lbs seems about the best I can do with just TRT. With var thrown in I think I'll eventually pass 440lbs.

Progress is slower and it's easier to push too hard and regress, but overall not bad. Since I moved I'm able to sleep 8 hours again and that's helped a lot. Body composition has declined without the frequent blasting. Strength seems mostly there.

Training is obviously very minimalistic due to time constraints. Seems like the big three is about all I need to progress anyway. Gonna try some front squat next week and light Romanian deadlift to see if it causes any pain.

Front squat
275lbs for 4x5

TnG bench
315x5, 335x5, 350x5 @RPE 8

Really need to focus on keeping calories up over the weekend. It's so easy to stop eating when I'm full when I'm not on my strict eating schedule like during the work week. I'm way under calories on the weekend and I feel like it's hurting Mondays session

Its funny, when cutting I tend to over eat on weekends because I am bored. When bulking its the opposite and I under eat lol

Didn't have time to post yesterday

Beltless high bar squat
315lbs for 3x5

Close grip bench
285lbs for 3x10

Some lat pull downs and cable rows

Really been prioritizing 8 hours sleep every night lately and it makes my days a little rushed. Definitely paying off though both in the gym and just overall well being wise.

High bar squat
405x3, 405x3

TnG bench
365x3, 385x3

Slingshot bench
405x3

At this point got dressed for work and regretted not going for 405x3 TnG and ended up trying it and got 405x2 and couldn't quite lock out the third rep, which would have been a rep PR.

We have four people in our lifting group now and two bench more than me, so should be motivating. One got 440lbs for 2x3 and the other 405lbs for 2x3 today.
