Perrin Aybara's Journey to an Elite Powerlifting Total

Front squat
235x5, 285x5, 285x5

Pulled something in my chest/shoulder area last week pushing a pallet with three 55 gallon barrels of DEF and a few cases of washer fluid up a slight hill last week and made it worse benching. One of my workout partners is cutting after this weekend, so I think I'm going to diet and get my wife on board to diet with me. Take some time off the big three awhile. Get leaner and hopefully get over all the aches and pains.

Damn that has to suck, especially after all those other setbacks you had. Perhaps a good break is in the cards for you and make the most of it so when you finally get back to it full blast you'll be healed up and recharged.

Been awhile since I focused on other lifts for awhile. Hoping to come back ready to go after PRs again. Haven't been looking forward to gym sessions lately and maybe it'll help.

I’m looking forward to dropping a few lbs after this meet when I’m not so convenient about pushing the numbers

Definitely more healthy, just hard mentally for numbers to go down.

Hopefully everything heals up well.

Thanks, I'm hoping it's minor. Little stuff just adds up when strength training and then work also requires heavy lifting sometimes. The hip thing that's been off and on for about eighteen months now is more worrisome.

It’s definitely hard for a powerlifter to do anything that causes numbers to go down
Maybe an injury? An injury will most likely put a dent into numbers till healed. An example would be say injuring wrist which may make it harder to pull or even bench.

I've officially decided to cut. Went to the store yesterday and got all the foods I cut with last time. I started some HGH up last night at 2iu ED and upped my cruise dose from 150mg/week to 200mg. Not this week, but this month will start up fasted cardio on my two non gym days during the week.

Have let myself get too fat over the last year chasing bench numbers. Mostly successful at least hitting 440x1 touch and go in the gym and 425x1 paused at the local meet last year. But besides some low dose var sprinkled in here and there I've just been cruising on 150mg for about a year now. That and with all the bulking I'm not happy with how I'm looking these days.

Here's a current pic from yesterday weighing 220ish for accountability to actually get through a cut without bailing out.

This one is from December 13th 2019 towards the end of my last cut weighing 195ish. Shooting for getting close to this lean again in the next couple of months.

Today's workout

Front squat
225lbs for 3x8

Bodyweight dips
4 sets of 15

Light farmers carries

20 minutes of stationary bike

Just kind of winging it right now until I decide what sort of program I'll be running.

Damn you sure let yourself go Perrin! Bet the wife loves you fat and happy though and she will be heartbroken when you get lean and mean again lol jk.
