Progress/training log part 3: Operation retard strengthstrength

Good quick workout this morning.

1.Front squat 4x3 7rpe 235lb
2.leg press 2x20 450lb
3.single leg ext 4x8
4.Arnold press 4x6 60lb
5.lateral raise 2x8
6.kbell shoulder health stuff
7.beat up a tire with a sledgehammer for 5 minutes.

Got in and out, gotta drive down south for my girlfriends nephews bay party.

Officially in meet prep, signed up for one mid December so it's go time.

4.supposed to be slingshot dips 5x5 but I was feeling pretty good and decided to take the training wheels off and do some big boy dips so did a few sets with bodyweight and even added a little weight for a couple sets
5.banded deads 8x3 7rpe 275lb+band beltless
6.pullups 6x3
7.pendlay rows 5x5

No cardio tonght, accidentally took a 3 hours nap so I got to the gym later and I have to meal prep tonight lol
 
Pretty solid workout.

1.tempo front squats (2-1-2) 6x3 4 sets 265lb 2 sets 245lb
2.hack squat 2x10 405 for 1 and 315 for 1
3.GHR 5x5
4.standing OHP 4x6 8rpe worked up to 2 top sets of 150lb and the rest 140lb
5.kbell swing 4x6
6.cardio supposed to do 10 but I did 15 on the stair mill

Been having good workouts for being on a cut, of course that probably just jinxed it lmao

Ordered myself a brand spanking new inzer forever belt, so hopefully that will be arriving soon, pretty stoked to try it out. Went for a 13mm this time as I think I will like the extra support.

Good short workout.

1.Front squat 4x3 8rpe worked up to 285lb top set then 275lb (missed 3rd rep, hand slipped coming out of the hole) then 265x2 set.

2.leg press 2x10 7rpe 530ishlb
3.Arnold press 4x6 8rpe
4.lateral raise 2x8
5.kbell shoulder health holds
6.cardio 10 minute stair mill

Down almost 2.5lbs again this week, and for some reason I felt pretty damn strong today. No explaining but I ain't complaining lol

5.deadrift 3x8 8rpe 405lb I accidentally goofed on these. We have been getting some new equipment a squat bar, a safety squat bar, and apparently a deadlift bar which I accidentally used. Didn't realize till I got up to about 315 and by that point it was too let to switch, not a fan. I know they are supposed to be easier but I feel like not being used to it it actually had a negative impact on my lift, on my last set I hit rpe 8.5 on rep 7 so cut it short.

No cardio tonight, didn't have the heart. My dads ex rates me mid workout, they broke up like a month ago because my pops fell off the wagon. I knew that, but I didn't know how bad it was...she sent me a picture of him, he is homeless living on the streets completely wasted, and looks like shit and it just broke me mentally.

Don't mean to vent too much but it's got me fucked up seeing him like that.

Late on this, but if you ever need to vent 1 on 1 just hit me up man. I've been on both sides of those phone calls. Actually, all 3 sides. Someone calling me to say they saw so and so and they are all fucked up. Me calling someone to tell them so and so is fucked up. And someone calling someone tell them that I am fucked up again and living out of my car.


Do you do biceps before bench to warm your elbows up? I have been doing a CIRCUIT of lightweight face pulls, rows and curls prior to benching before benching. Seems to really help with my tendonitis along with some other stuff I do.

Yeah I believe that was the reasoning behind the curls, warm up the elbowa, and just to get some blood pumping into the arms in general.
 
Great fucking night

1.Front squat worked up to a 9rpe single ended with 305lb for an all time pr
2.bench suppose to work up to 9rpe single hit 225 easy jumped to 235 and got it but overshot and it was a grinder but tied my best comp bench on a cut so no complaining
3.deadlift! Supposed to work up to a 9rpe single and hit 505lb for an 8.5rpe single, fucking smoked it
4.10 minute stair mill

Fuck man great night, front squat pr, matched my best bench, and pulled 2lbs less than my best deadlift at a lower body and on a cut for an 8.5 single, fuck yes!

Just goofed around and did some light work.

Squat 5x5 7rpe 275lb beltless first time doing back squats in 6 months and everything feels and looks great, feel just as strong as before so I think the front squats atleast maintained my strength.

Deadlift 3x3 6rpe 315lb

Clean and jerk just for funnies 3x3 6rpe 135lb

Incline bench 4x10 135lb

DB curls 4x20

Close grip bench 3x10

Just goofed off and had fun

3.leg press 3x10 8rpe 550lb superset with pushups 3x10

5.10 minute stair mill

Damn good workout, down another 2lb this week and strength is still very much there.
Got my pops up here finally, lent him my wrist straps to use and forgot to get them back so I wrecked my fuckin hands, thumbs were bleeding and shit so I had to take it easy on the double paused cuz I just couldn't hook it anymore, same with pull ups probably could have had a couple more reps but my hands were just throbbing lol.

Weird workout. Came home to take an hour nap, ducking exhausted, slept for 3 hours. Woke up and debated going back to sleep but decided against it since I'm in meet prep.

Didn't get here till 9, body is beat up from volume, cranked some shit out and that's all she wrote.
