Rob's log part 2 (gonna take a crack at PLing)

@Docd187123 @brutus79. Gotta question for you guys. I won't be working out Friday for obvious reasons. Should I hold off on this entire weeks workouts and move it to next week or should I just do Friday's workout on Saturday.

Do it Saturday or just skip it. Don't hold your week back especially since you're just in the first prep block I believe.

NOT working out Friday? Why? Just because its Christmas? A day for family, togetherness, and to celebrate the life of Jesus (I like to think of Jesus like a figure skater, who wears, like, a white outfit, and he does interpretive ice dances of my life's journey.)

Appreciate it. I figured I'd get stronger but it has definitely recomped my body. I'm eating more than before still can't gain a pound and actually feel like fat is falling off
 
Sheiko week 3 day 1

Today was by far the most taxing on my lower back so far. It took everything I had to finish and not give up. I didn't struggle with lifts as much as I did with back pain. All in all it got done 2hrs 25mins. If it were easy everyone would do it. At home drinking a post workout shake trying to figure what I'm gonna eat after that. Anyway another day in the books 100% completed.

Side note I'm starting to get a nice little bench routine down as far as set up. As soon as I'm happy with my footing and arch I'll put another video.
 
Watch that back Rob, i would hate to see you have to shut her down cause of a back injury.
Other than that , looks like the switch to PL is going very well.

I have a pretty good feel for when it's time to hang it up for the day. I got to that point 2 x tonight and instead of going home I actually went up stairs and did a lap around track and drank a ton of water. By the time I got back I had enough to squeeze out another set semi comfortably.

I have hurt my back a couple times in the gym over the years, and your right. When i feel that sharp pain hit me, i know immediately that im done and i wrap it up. Unlike other body parts like shoulders or elbows ect i usually just push on and ignore the pain, course this could be the reason for my chronic shoulder issues that have made me stop benching for the last month lol!!!

I've been battling tendinitis in my left elbow which made benching a chore. So I broke down and bought an elbow sleeve and tonight I was able to bench relatively pain free when wearing it. Well worth it and not bad for a $6 sleeve!

Shit ima look into that, mine were getting way better till this sunday i was watching my wife run in a 5k run and while standing in the crowd i put my left hand on my hip and at that very moment a little girl was running past me from behind and her head hit me right on the tip of my elbow, the most important thing of course is that she was ok but my elbow was killing me today while doing Tri's. So gotta start all over with the rehab.

Damn..I hate that when I hit the tip of my elbows on anything as it hurts like a mofo. Well worth it getting an elbow sleeve brother...hopefully fix your issues too

Yeah it hurt like a fucker, but i had to act like it didnt. How would it look for a muscular dude to scream in pain ( like i wanted to) because of a little girl running in to him lol!!

This is everyone's thread. I do these to keep me honest with my workouts and the motivation. As long as we are all having fun and learning shit post whatever you feel like.

Are you wearing a belt yet? Do they have a squat safety bar at your gym?
