Rob's log part 2 (gonna take a crack at PLing)

Well today has been the first day I've been able to get out of bed since Saturday night. Must have caught some fucked up stomach flu. Weight went from 212-214 down to 198. Fucking depressing. Strength is 100% depleted. I ate and held down 2 small meals so far today. Hopeful the worst is past and I can get some food back in me. Not sure what to do about the program as I'm obviously not going to the gym tonight and Thursday may be pushing it.

You'll be back to normal after a few days of good eating. Nothing to stress over.

I know how you feel brother, sounds like you have what I had a couple of weeks ago. That shit sucked.

It's been shitty. I've had plenty of stomach bugs before but none that have kept me down like this. I was able to eat a little today. Hopefully tomorrow I can actually get down some decent calories and get a little energy.
 
Damn, Rob, sorry to hear that. Seems like quite a few of us are getting struck down with the sickness lately. You'll recover in no time though and the silver lining is you've made (at least temporarily) weight for 198. May reduce the need for some cutting later on and you got a little deload. Gotta always look at the bright side.

Most of your weight loss is water. You know this. One week of normal eating and hydration and you're back at 214. You haven't lost muscle, you're just deflated.

Back to work today for the first time this week. Got a normal sized meal for me in last night which felt amazing. Still kinda blah and zoned out. Probably gonna go to the gym just to keep moving later. I don't expect much honestly. Just need to get some blood pumping through the body. Figured I'll take it easy and some light workouts the rest of the week and pick back up on normal training next week
 
Managed to get down about 2750 cals so far today. If I make it to the gym there will be at least another 1500+. Happy to be able to stomach that right now. Really want to go to the gym just not a 100% sure it's a good idea yet.
If you think your pretty much over the bug and are at the stage where your just a little "blah" feeling i say go for a workout. IME at that stage a good pump and sweat is just what my body needs to kick that last bit out of me. Usually leave the gym a new man. But if your not at that stage it could be a bad idea.

I'm gonna go throw some weight around. I'm an addict and I've been itching all day. Probably stick to upper body as I know I'll get discouraged trying to hit lower body from lack of strength. Lower body workouts can be so demanding and exhausting I don't want to over do it. I just want to get a pump lol.

Super shocked on bench strength. Weight was already back up to 204.8. Felt amazing to get blood through the entire upper body. Gonna crush a shake when I get home and slam a ton of carbs and protein. I'm sure I'll be drained later. PWO didn't settle to well at first but I cut it in half to because I expected that. Appreciate all the support.
 
Im betting you will feel even better tommorrow, nothing like a good pump and sweat to get rid of that last bit of sickness.
 
Squats and deads are pretty rough when you're sick. When will you resume Sheiko?

Depends on if I start over block 30 or not. If that's the case on Tuesday. Which puts me back 2 weeks. I know I don't have a meet to worry about that may cause an issue in another area as I timed this program with only an extra week to spare. So I don't know exactly what to think. I'd like to resume this Saturday with last Saturday's workout and go forward from there.
