Rob's log part 2 (gonna take a crack at PLing)

Man it's looking nice! I love my wireless beats best headphones out there. Make sure if you get elbow sleeves go for true size cause going smaller gives you no pop and makes it near impossible to get on, there are just purely to keep your elbows warm. Slingshot fullboar model too cause you'll need that taper to get it over your pythons :D

I've only just started considering the elbow sleeves. I haven't had many issues with but something I've considered since I'm starting to move some decent weight. As far as the wireless beats I love them. I've always hated music in the gym but they have been great. They never come unplugged. You don't have to keep you phone in your pocket. I can literally walk across the gym and the Bluetooth still connects. Nothing gets in the way of lifts. They are perfect. The full boar will be the one I'm gettin for sure. Thinking of ordering it in the next week or so.

Killing it rob! Serious shit.

I just got knee sleeves because I have been having some knee pain... as in a fucking lot. Patellar tendonitis if my Internet research capabilities are PhD level. Couldn't even squat 135 without pain... still doing workouts but not pleasant.

Got some $25 sleeves from sports authority and it. Is. A. Fucking. Miracle. No pain. I warmed up with them on, kept my knee nice and hot, zero pain. Squatted 385 for 10 deep reps and not a twinge. Amen.

Keep it up rob. You are built for this.

I was the same way before I started using sleeves. I could do squats but later that day and the next day was not fun. Could barely get in and out of my truck.

I'm glad you got some relief. It sucks working through that kind of pain every damn time you go to the gym.

Block 31 has serious days in it. Looking forward to the challenge. 4 weeks from tomorrow I get to do 105% of my maxes so it'll be a nice test to see where I'm at. Hoping for some big numbers

Was having some minor knee and elbow pain with certain movements. Skull crushers were causing quite a bit of elbow pain and of course squats were causing some knee discomfort. Probably just age related. Wear and tear. I got Shock Doctor neoprene elbow and knee sleeves. Pretty easy on and off. Issue solved. I've upped my weight on skull crushers because of them. Big fan.

What singles are you going for at 105%?

This is what the program calls for that day. This is the second day of block 32

Id like to hit the 4 plates bench minimum. 5 squat. 6 pull.

I don't have many issues with elbows but sleeves have been great for my knees. Glad they are working for you. How's lifting been going for you?

All rockets firing.
Decided not to do a log. I know I'm being selfish but I needed this one to be for me.
I'll log the next one.
I love reading yours though. You're making this Sheiko block party your bitch. Keep killin it Rob. I'm with ya.

Glad to hear things are moving forward. Whatever works best for you is what you gotta do. At the end of the day we should all be doing this for our selves.

Being halfway through I've been thinking of what to do next. I'm really liking having this much structure. I don't think I'll ever be without a program again. Winging it every workout just doesn't compare to the results I've been making with a program.

Agreed. I always just designed my own routines a week at a time. The structure is better.

Those Shock Doctors are quite some heavy duty knee sleeves...I may look into them as my own knees need some help lol.

I didn't realize you were hitting 2-3 singles, keep that in mind when choosing the weight. That looks similar to week eight in the four day plan. It has you do squat and bench on one day and deadlift on another day. 3 singles at 100% is what it says rather than 2-3 at 100-105% though.

Just a suggestion here, but I'd recommend dropping your extra workout days for the week or so leading up to that day and also again at the end of the routine when you peak for the meet/mock meet. You'll want minimal fatigue when hitting max singles. It might not matter as much with this one as it will at the end, but something to keep in mind for sure.

I feel 100% the same way. Even if I design it myself I want the structure of a program and having a long-term plan with each session reflecting that. I feel kind of lost right now, I'm still following the basic structure of what I was doing before, but a lot of it is just me winging it. Can't wait to start Sheiko a week from Tuesday and start feeling like I'm working towards some goals again.

I had a talk with a guy that was at my gym the other day after a workout. I guess he is a pretty well known coach in my area and has quite a track record in competing and his clients do well too. He made me a very generous offer price wise for a full year meal prep/weekly progress updates/full routines if I choose. Plus he is local so we can do some stuff face to face. He said if I'm interested he be happy to do it. He was taking only like 20 bucks a month. I have a friend that is getting easy to use him so I will see how he likes him. I guess he is getting charged 40 a month.

As you said above I'll be cutting anything extra once I get close to days like that. Actually the whole last month I will be doing only what's on paper to ensure I'm ready.

$20/month would be well worth it if he delivers results. I'd like to hire one for the months leading up to my next meet.
