Telmisartan

Hey everyone, I’ve been in the game for a while now but I’ve just recently started to become more health conscious and thinking about longevity. (Better late then never right lol), I just got my hands on a good amount of Telmisartan raws and I was wondering, if any of you guys could school me on the “cardiac remodeling” benefits, and basically what it has done for you/your experiences. Feel free to add dosing and protocols that have worked for you. Thanks dudes

40mg a day for blood pressure regulation, anything other than that is a bonus lol.

Curious to see what others have to say about the additional benefits including but not limited to cardiac remodeling.

Type-IIx

I bought pharma and for some reason 20-40mg made me nauseous. I had to stop taking it

My girlfriend tickled me when I was on 20mg and I threw up on her and the couch

Interesting, I have a bunch of raws and tabs of telmisartan that I haven’t touched yet… subbed
I’m in the same boat.

I was reading about the shift in fat loss that can occur along with the other benefits.

My BP has been improving greatly over the last few months of dropping weight and cleaning the diet up so I haven’t wanted to take a BP med.

Is it worth taking if you have decent BP? I’m leaning towards if you’re 120-130/70 range it may be.

Everyone on gear should be taking BP meds if you want to save your heart and kidneys. That shit is a godsend.

Well off cycle I easily maintain ~125/70, but on cycle (depending on what I am running) it'll go up to about 140-150/75 if I don't really stay on top of it. Right now I am running 20mg cialis EOD and that seems to be keeping me around 133/72. I ordered smaller tabs of cialis so I can break it down to 5 or 10 mg/day, which will hopefully be a little better. If not, then I will try to implement the telmisartan, but I only need it on cycle.

I have been taking 40-80mg for over a year. Right now taking 60mg daily. I think for everyone using any gear or even on TRT a minimum of 40mg is a must.

I am on 5mg of losartan. Bp is at target range. Really any ARB medication could suffice.

Important post imo, people should take health mitigation more seriously.

I started taking 20mg to help lower my BP from 130/75 as I feel it was way higher when I was blasting NPP and didn't even know.

After a week my BP was already lowered then 120/70 and now I'm around 110/65 or even lower if I'm sitting long enough before checking my BP.

One substantial positive side I had is the anti-anxiety effect, and being calmer, not many people know that but apparently, Telmisartan has also decreased anxiety and has an SSRI-like effect so for someone like me who is on Lexapro that was a big plus which I enjoy.

All in all, haven't had any "bad" sides or anything like that, I just pop 20mg straight up in the morning with the rest of my supps and that's it.

Source for Telmisartan btw is @Jet Labs

Are you implying there telmisartan has the potential to reverse cardiac remodeling? I have not heard that, but I am "all ears"

Yes. There's plenty of research and studies on it. Just google it "Telmisartan cardiac remodeling".

Same with Nebivolol.

Been on telmisartan for about 8 months, doses between 40-80.

My takeaways:

1. Overall has been great for my BP, but it’s not a catch-all. I’ll still read high if I’m being sloppy.

2. It hits my hematocrit hard. When I started my hct was 47 something and on my last set of bloods I read 40.2. That’s no donations and my gear use has been pretty heavy overall in that time.

That’s interesting I’ve never heard of people having their hematocrit hit that hard from it.

Mirroring everything above, I’m almost to the point of just about everyone on gear taking telmisartan. The benefits are so wide spread and verified that for the price and low side effect profile its as close to a miracle as we have.

40mg telm and 500-800 met covers most major, almost inevitable concerns we have as bodybuilders.

Nailed it.

Why get raws? I got 180 days worth for 20 cash at a pharmacy
I love it, my bp is 115/80 on it. Nothing else worked…. Only side is I get lightheaded on it

I used to be able to lie on certain ways where I could feel my heartbeat. In the quiet of night I used to be able to hear my heart also.

I went back on the Tbol, along with 4 total Injectables, so I started using 40mg telismartin per day and I don’t really feel it or hear it anymore. My BP was always fine and there was never any issues. I started taking it for precautionary reasons due to age and current gear regimen.

iirc telmisartan demonstrates significantly more benefits in the bodybuilding frame of reference. I’ll try and find it all summarized.

You’re correct. I know John Jewett has touched on this fairly recently. I want to say it was on a YouTube video or series of videos but it did outline specific benefits linked solely to telmisartan.
