The MESO way

Yeah solid point. That’s human nature though. People develop a loyalty. Like that with everything.
Swolie,
I like your presence here bro. I'm glad—regardless of all the shit-slinging—you're with us, again. You and @RekTest touch on an ongoing issue.

New Meso... we talk anecdote, but prove with science & links... "Parasocial Relationships."

Here you go...

define "you guys" ?

this board has been overtaken by the glp crowd from reddit and whatnot. you dont like qsc because of issues with their oils? you think the tirz and sema crowd really cares about that when they see testing for overfilled kits cheaper than any other source on here?

at a certain point some people just get tired and move on. the first few months of qsc being here, his thread was constantly being spammed by the same copy and pasted posts about why not to buy from him. was the intent to drive people away? yes, but it only served to constantly bump his thread up to the top of the page. would he be where he is today without those free bumps for his first year here? who knows

and youre talking about letting the chinese sources get away? why not go on about why the indian generic pct sources barely have tests for the hundreds of different items they offer? there are some things that people have come to accept.
I arrived here from Reddit...to look for QSC. I learned a lot in the ensuing 15 months or so that I arrived.

It saddens me to look back to threads even from a year ago and see a lot of users that just disappeared (I presume because they didn't want to deal with the "retard newbie" questions and threads...now that I've been here a little while, I see what that feels like...lol). I also realize the Reddit crowd probably jacks up the post count and makes it hard to keep up and have concise discussions.

I wish there was some way for the crowds to co-exist (ironically I'm almost never on Reddit anymore...lol). I realize it would basically be 2 factions:
- Gearhead gymrats that are trying to get fucking ripped.
- Overweight/injured/outta shape/whatever here to purchase.

I try to look through all threads on this forum and can earnestly say my goals are to learn (to get healthier and hopefully improve my health span) + contribute information when I can + be a smart ass (ok....this is probably what I accomplish best).

I admit I have nothing to contribute with regards to bodybuilding. There are days I do feel bad about the possibility of invading a space for those whose motivation for being here is bodybuilding. However, I can tell you earnestly and honestly my contributions here are in good faith and trying to be productive.

#just a testimonial in unity and here to contribute

@SwolieGuacamole. So, considering Millard's well written explanation do you get it now? Does it make more sense that I asked you what you were going to do to better this place and make it what you want it to be? It's up to us because there is no top down control beyond the basic rules.

You never answered my question. What have you done to improve the forum and what are you going to do moving forward?

There is a while lot more to harm reduction than stuff relating to sources but it seems as if everyone equates harm reduction to drugs and sources mainly...

You are absolutely right but let's be fair:

The MESO-Rx Forum is comprised of 25 subforums. The subforums cover a wide variety of topics related to the world of anabolic steroids, performance, and performance-enhancing drugs with an emphasis on minimizing the associated harm and risk.

Kinda reminds me of BBBG asking why I am not posting my training splits and eating log here. I always thought this was an AAS forum / PED forum. I don't like the PED term though as it plays into the enemy's hands.

I like Rick Collin's suggestion...image improving drugs or Appearance Enhancing Drugs (AEDs). I have body dysmorphia so Rx me the appropriate drugs. Not SSRIs.

Well I might have misspoke a little.. I do see plenty of active people in other places of the forum .. I like the what are u eating forum, and plenty of people out there.. I just can't help but remeber the brotherhood of accountability that @UncleBuns brought to me a year ago about my sporadic over usage of gear that quite possibly saved my life if not for sure a kidney.
There are people here that give advice share experience and monitor other people and privately say things out of care and concern...

I really the the share experience side of things.. kno8gained from experience where I come from means more than anything.. I get so put off by the whole" this is right" mentally sometimes it keeps me from chiming in on things.. anyway.. don't know where I was headed with that but i must walk in here and lift weights now!
Peace
Edit (Buns sorry my sporadic overuse of gear is still not much better! But you tried lol)

And going to put this on the table since there are a number of former MESO members over on SST.

Might as well just get it out there as I don't understand it.

@Millard put it all out there to read earlier. I don't understand how some can't understand the nuance. Guarantee I would NOT be able to post this stuff on a source board. The "sponsor" concept was clearly laid out. MESO does not sponsor sources.

I find it hard to believe that all these years later, this group of disgruntled former members truly believe what they are saying despite all evidence to the contrary.

They were banned for repeatedly and blatantly violating the forum rules even after I explicitly explained the rules and asked them to stop. Nothing more and nothing less.

They claimed, and apparently continue to claim, that somehow I was protecting a source from criticism. My record is clear: before, during, and after this period, members have ALWAYS been actively encouraged to hold this and all other sources accountable.

There is nothing to support their claims other than their baseless assertions.

Oh yeah, and the source that they allege I was protecting never posted again on the forum, withdraw all sponsorship, and has not been back in the years since then because I refused to stop the rampant never-ending member criticism of him.

Thank you Millard for your response. Grateful to be a member here.

My avatar represents my university, and graduating from there is one of my proudest achievements. I’ve always been deeply involved with my school and community, taking great pride in those contributions. Of course, that doesn’t mean I agree with every decision the university makes or think it’s run perfectly. But for me, belonging to a community doesn’t require perfection, it means finding something worthwhile enough to invest in, and creating a personal sense of belonging.

This board has changed a lot over the last 3, 5, or even 10 years, and it’s definitely not the same place it once was. While I do enjoy reminiscing about the past, I prefer looking ahead to what’s next and how we can continue to grow. I appreciate everything @Millard has done in giving us a space to share our thoughts and document a unique culture. The knowledge base here is massive, built over the years by so many members’ contributions.

I miss BBBG and joined many boards just to continue reading their thoughts, along with many others. Over time, more people will come and go, something I see as both natural and healthy. Those of us who remain do so by choice. While it’s not perfect, this forum is absolutely worthy of my membership, my efforts, and my support. I’m proud to be a part of it and proud to be among all of you.

Lowest effective dose to reach the goal is always the best. Everyone has different goals and different timelines and their bodies react differently to dosages.

Rick Collin’s is fantastic. Gave him a fist bump today when I happened to notice he was getting his Jan 1 lift in with some bicep curls next to me, hopefully never have to ever see him outside of the gym!

Exactly that. The men posing as women is great too lol. Sitting here flirting with another dude on the internet lol. It’s like girls who have companies run their OF. Pathetic times really.

I absolutely get it and understand, and is why this was my home forum. ASS for example is a complete shot show, and would be a good comparison example for the two.

However, this is what I’ve noticed more of, here, over time……

“Challenges of Harm Reduction Forums

Despite their benefits, harm reduction forums face challenges. Without administrative control over participation, individual users or groups sometimes attempt to assert influence by forming their own informal “source forums” within the community. These efforts undermine the forum’s harm reduction mission by recreating the exclusionary practices of source forums.“

That will be human nature by default. You might not have admin influencing a bias, but a member base will by default, as cliques/relationships/brand loyalty is established.

I touched on your answer before. I lurked here for about a year before even commenting. Just studying and observing. After eventually becoming more active, and GL leaving, I spent equal time on SST. Then getting banned over an immature comment, I began contributing on SST. I’ve called out numerous sources, was DMed and threaten with a ban because of it, and then had the whole Matrix thing happen.

Now that I’m back here o plan on continuing the same. Again, I wasn’t here to stir shit or bash the forum. Simply an observation of bias and selective scrutiny. But I get it and will be more open minded about such.

You talking all the qsc reps everyone flirts with and then posts about it all over the qsc thread? I cant imagine flirting or making some of the comments they make to, essentially, my drug dealer. Idk am I the weird one or what? Give me my roids and piss off i aint saying extra to any rep thats prolly some middle aged man on the other end lol

Well your post seems like the main purpose is to bash the forum and stir shit. It is a list of gripes and complaints with no solutions. If you plan to stick around and positively impact the forum that's great.

Like I said before, it is up to the members and each of us individually to progress the forum in the direction that we would like to see it go. Instead of whining and complaining about what you don't like, try putting out content that is what you want to see. Others who are like-minded will follow and then there will be more good things here.

Because it is an open free forum, there will always be a mix of people. Some of the people will be less than desirable. Probably best to respectfully criticize them when appropriate and mostly ignore them. I found that most of the time trying to battle poor quality members/ content is not a great use of energy compared to putting out better high quality content that will get more traction and be of more interest to people which will then promote and create further better out there. Easier said than done and I'm not perfect at this but trying to improve over time.
