This^Pshhh. They can do anything they want! Its a free damn country. Its also free of management to do as they please to remedy the situation![]()
Definitely free of management you got that right but not unfixable , if they started enforcing suspensions and fines that would solve the problem if they don't do something about it this s*** it will just transfer into the MLB ,NBA ,MLS , hell you name it every professional sport will become a political platform for morons. It just ruins it for me to have to start off the game watching some douchebag sit on his knee during the pledge .Pshhh. They can do anything they want! Its a free damn country. Why not make the NFL responsible for this it's their employee after all , this is a job and they are paid professionals not paid politicians. On that level he has a certain responsibility to the organization that he works for, the team he represents and the millions watching him. But I guess in a way they're handling it since he doesn't even have a ride this yearThis^
I wouldn't put it on the NFL to discipline players for something like this. It's a free country, after all. However, the organization makes its money off of ticket sales, and if you cost them money, you're fucking gone. Take your political statements with your cleats and get the fuck out. Want to be political? Go on a talk show, run for local government, start a campaign for something, but when you're in our house, keep your fucking mouth shut and worry about doing your job.
Making an ass of yourself on the biggest stage possible is the opposite of how you win a following and gain support.

You obviously have talent if you can make it to the NFL no one makes it to that stage being booty they all play at a high level some higher than others nevertheless they're still employed by the NFL which makes the NFL responsible for what they say and do just like when they get nailed for helmet-to-helmet contact or get busted with dope while they're driving around in their Ferrari in Miami people need to be held responsible for their actions who better to enforce it than the NFL nobody else willHe doesn't have a job because his skills aren't worth the head ache. Do you think Michael Bennett is getting cut or any of the other players that can play at a high level?
Hold the NFL accountable for what? Are they doing anything illegal? I don't agree with people not standing for the national anthem but if it bothers people so much protest with your wallet and turn it off. Doubt that's happening much.
But what they're doing isn't illegal. In fact there is an amendment in the Bill of Rights that specifically protects their right to voice their opinion without fear of persecution...I think it's like.. the FIRST one.You obviously have talent if you can make it to the NFL no one makes it to that stage being booty they all play at a high level some higher than others nevertheless they're still employed by the NFL which makes the NFL responsible for what they say and do just like when they get nailed for helmet-to-helmet contact or get busted with dope while they're driving around in their Ferrari in Miami people need to be held responsible for their actions who better to enforce it than the NFL nobody else will
Because that's illegal. It's literally against the law. If the NFL didn't exist, they'd still be arrested or fined or whatever punishment fits the crime committed.Every time one of these professional athletes get busted doing something they're not supposed to do outside of their Arena the league always endures a political shitstorm you would think they would want to protect themselves better from this kind of spectacle especially while it's happening right in front of their own eyes (Kap). They don't have a problem punishing people for beating up their girlfriends in public or smoking crack or weed on the street
I never said anything about what Kaepernick was doing is legal but it puts a blemish on the league just like everything else I mentioned and yes they are using the wrong platform and everyone knows it including the NFL that's why they should enforce it you're not taking away somebody's free speech by telling them they have to stand for the flag salute or go home, he has every opportunity to voices opinion at the press conferences in front of ESPN in the whole world. It's not like he's doing this while he's saluting the flag in his front yard or at a little league game this is one of the biggest stages in the world and the NFL is ultimately responsible for everyone in it. Also when people are holding protests in support of Kaepernick you're absolutely putting people in danger look at what just happened in Charlotte all it takes is for somebody to do something stupid and people are deadBut what they're doing isn't illegal. Helmet to Helmet hits are a league-wide rule because it endangers other people, and getting caught with drugs is illegal at the state and federal levels.
I don't want anyone persecuted for voicing their opinions, because then I'd have no right to voice my opinion. My opinion is they're fucking retarded for using the wrong platform and actions to further a cause, but that's my opinion, and they have their own.
I agree that the league doesn't give a s*** what happens and they probably do profit from the shitstorm but ultimately people need to have some kind of responsibility, and as far as Goodell goes people already hate that f***** he gets booed every time they see his face so a replacement that might actually take some responsibility for the league would be a good thingThat also brings up another point. Owners, general managers, coaches, players, etc of a certain team, they do NOT want distractions and stupid off the field antics causing problems or drawing focus off of their goals and what it takes to achieve them.
The league, however, is completely different. They don't give a fuck about who wins, who loses, or who has distractions in their locker room. It doesn't matter to them, and in the end, all publicity is good publicity. Goodell probably loves the shitstorm from stuff like this, because it's more attention on the NFL. Keeping interest and ratings up is good for his job security, so he's the LAST person on Earth who would punish someone for doing something that not only isn't illegal, but brings in a lot of media attention to his nest egg.

I was just using Charlotte as an example of what happens when people protest nowadays happens every time out here in LA never peaceful. It's his right as an American to stand or sit or lay down or do jumping fucking jacks during the National Anthem. It's not the law that he should stand and salute, and anyone who punishes him for not doing so in order to make a statement is literally violating his First Amendment rights.
You're comparing apples to oranges now, a helmet to helmet hit could injure, paralyze, or kill another player. That's why it's a rule. The fact that people are stupid enough to stand in a fucking roadway is a completely different matter, as is the fact that someone is stupid enough to drive up in the middle of a damn mob of jackasses.
If people are worried about getting brain injury such as concussion etc.they should play tennis! What next are they going to change it to the NFFL (national flag football league) and issue little Velcro flags and make it a no contact sportH2H hits are all fun and games until you can't remember your children or grandchildren's names later in life. They're football players, not gladiators. The avg NFL career is 3 years, and then they still have to go be productive members of society in some other form or fashion.
I'm all for letting players play the game, but I agree with them not wanting a 250 pound man who runs a fucking 4.3 in the 40 smash someone's brain out on the field.
If you've ever seen a traumatic brain injury up close on the field in person, you'd never support H2H hits again, it's fucking disastrous. I watched a grown man's hands curl up in a grotesque way and his entire body go rigid as he convulsed and seized on the field after a blatant hit, and his parents and fiancé were in the stands watching. He was 22 and can never use his right side of his body correctly again.
Also, fuck hockey.

People watch Boxing for the sheer spectacle of seeing somebody getting knocked out! Watching someone lay a hat on somebody as I used to call it is all part of the game.Helmet to helmet is inevitable, it happens in every game even by accident. I'm not saying that they should be able to just blatantly hit people helmet-to-helmet but c'mon.
