Understanding DNP practice

Hey everyone. One of my students (Niroshan) and I are trying to understand the practice of DNP in bodybuilding. Can you please help by correcting or adding to the below? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Sorry it is so long but we want to understand properly. Feel free to only answer part.

1. What substances should you and shouldn’t you use with DNP?

(a) What shouldn’t you use with DNP? We’ve heard alcohol, illicit drugs like ecstasy, any others? Certain AASs?

(b) What should you or do you use with DNP? Certain AASs? pre-workouts? other fat loss supplements?

2. How do you practice DNP?

From my understanding you should:

(a) probably start with a low dose first (i.e. 200mg) and slowly increase after a minimum of 4 days if you need more, up to a maximum dose around 600-800mg.

(b) not be on DNP for more than 10 days.

(c) eat mostly fat and protein, avoiding carbohydrates where possible, to avoid excessive heat.

(d) avoid using DNP before sleep so that you don’t get night sweats.

(e) use air-conditioning and cold showers to stay cool.

Is this correct? How does this align with your practices? Is there anything I missed that you might do to reduce risk?

3. What is your understanding of DNP in terms of:

(a) how it works in the body?

(b) risks and side effects?

It’s my opinion from my own research and experience that night sweats are happening regardless of dosing schedule and carb intake as a daily total or timing. They may help minimize to some degree but you’re going to experience night sweats on dnp.

I also believe the best macro split is the one that you can adhere too in the face of EXTREME carb cravings at times if not down right persistently. I’ve had good experiences on dnp, I’ve had a mind boggling experience on dnp and I’ve failed miserably with dnp. For myself my logs clearly show my adherence to my calorie allowance dictated those results not my macro split. Isocaloric as suggested by @MrRippedZilla and @Eman has been the easiest split for me to adhere too.
Thanks, that's really useful information. greatly appreciate you taking the time to respond

Can you please explain the logic of your methodology?
I am an anthropologist. I conduct participant observation in enhanced communities. Have been for the last few years. Mostly in closed facebook groups up until now. I collect their stories and publish them in academic journals. Through actually working with consumers and prioritising their perspective over my own (rather than surveying them or interviewing - both methods limited by the researcher's preconceptions) i find out stuff that most people don't know about enhanced drug use

1. What substances should you and shouldn’t you use with DNP?

Anything that could cause an increase in body temp.

Alcohol and other recreational drugs should be avoided. Diuretics should absolutely be avoided.

2. How do you practice DNP?

I start at 200mg and increase the dosage every week or so until my goal has been reached.

(a) probably start with a low dose first (i.e. 200mg) and slowly increase after a minimum of 4 days if you need more, up to a maximum dose around 600-800mg.

This is, imo, just about the best way to use the compound.

(b) not be on DNP for more than 10 days.

Not necessarily. DNP can be run for much longer - the original research participants used DNP for much much longer than the typical 2 weeks you read on the forums.

Eventually, you'll need a break or the results will begin to peter off.

(c) eat mostly fat and protein, avoiding carbohydrates where possible, to avoid excessive heat

Some carbs are helpful, but generally you'll want to limit carbs... Which you'll tend to do my default if the dose is high enough.

d) avoid using DNP before sleep so that you don’t get night sweats

It doesn't seem to matter a lot once the drug has become saturated in your system. Avoiding carbs at night is more important than the dosing.

e) use air-conditioning and cold showers to stay cool

Amen.

(a) how it works in the body?

(b) risks and side effects

A) it interferes with the normal process of creating ATP in the body, which causes a slip in the clutch of our metabolism.

B) body heat, sweating, lethargy, allergic reactions, peripheral neuropathy, death.

I found it surprising at first to see the emerging number of researchers that come to the online forums to seek information.

If you are going to use our experiences to build your career I would appreciate if you could give back to this forum with monetary donations instead of a vague blasphemous comment that you are doing this for "us."

I understand you are going to build your career on us either way, whether you donate to help us on this forum or not.

I would direct you to my YouTube for examples of my research but they have suspended my channel for some reason - maybe they think I am encouraging drug use by trying to reduce the harms of use
I read your shit and listened to your interview on Advices radio 88. Put in the work, lazy ass.

You are literally BUILDING YOUR CAREER on US and giving NOTHING back. Show some appreciation.

To sum up for people who don't know you. Basically you are an anthropologist that didn't have a pursuit, you couldn't get any funding for your BS work and saw an opportunity to make money and a career of us. So you create a perverse narrative and come on here coaxing us to get to the juicy part.

mate, do you know how little i make? i give back to this community through my research and that is enough for most people including some of those who run this forum - otherwise I wouldn't be here. i started this research for career reasons, intending to only do it for a year and move on, but as I got into i realised how much we as a society have dropped the ball with regards this issue and really believe in what I do. I could actually make a lot more career progression elsewhere.
Seeing as I don't have a Youtube channel at the moment all I can do is direct you to my actual publications so you can see what I do The unintended consequences of emphasising blood-borne virus in research on, and services for, people who inject image and performance enhancing dr... - PubMed - NCBI

I have been told that I have increased understanding of enhanced drug users more than anyone else on this planet, and am trying to change laws and support, but hey if that's not enough for you that's fine, just don't talk to me

Just a couple days ago you told me that you were new to the forum and didn't know what a sticky was?

Cry all you want, the fact of the matter is that you are a lazy asshole that doesn't want to read through the threads to build your career. You want every single person to fill out your questionnaire because "helping us" by diving deep into this world would be "too much to ask."

Can we get any sort of donation to this forum? 50 dollars might be able to get us some new articles or something.

How does your research in that paper improve our lives more than it makes a career for you? :D

What laws are you trying to change? Australian?

My mom told me I was the most beautiful person in this world too, doesn't mean it is true.

i don't do questionnaires - do you read what I type? I think i might have to ignore this conversation as it is going nowhere and I'll leave it to Millard or someone else to correct your misconceptions as it is a public holiday here in Australia and I have better things to do.
To make it simple for you: I was asking for a range of experiences of DNP for some research I am doing with a student. We have read threads, articles by consumers, watched YouTube videos etc, but now we want to see if actual use practices conform to the ideal practices described in the articles/videos and if there is more variation in practice than what we have already read in threads. i can totally see why you are so outraged by me asking for this information, and not knowing what a sticky is

Yes, I read what you type. However, I do not believe the words that you type.

Exactly that is my point. We do this for a living, we put our heart and soul into this place. You want to make some money, so you come here and instead of reading the materials we have put our blood, sweat and tears into. You want to get spoonfed.

That's a lie that you have read the threads, I can see through your profile which threads you have viewed. I can literally count what threads you have been to, and replied to. Don't lie to me. Put in the work!

You can totally see why I am outraged by the sticky thing? Really? You are so full of shit, I like taking up arguments just for the sake of arguing. I don't even have a valid reason for being upset about the sticky. Or do I? Now you are probably all confused :)

If you are going to take something away from the forums let it be this.

"We don't like to spoon-feed lazy people who come with false pretenses pretending to 'help us.'"

P.S. It is sink or swim on this forum, Millard won't save you.

Please let me clear this up for you @MairUnderwood(Researcher)

We are not homosexual and nobody really talks about their sexuality because we don't care. We respect each other based on hard work, knowledge and accomplishments. This goes for women too, many times women come on here and flaunt their femininity for attention. That isn't the right approach, if you want to be part of the gang. Don't mention your sex or orientation and nobody will ask.

That's really useful, thanks so much Eman :) how long would you typically stay on, and what would be the max time on?

This drug was originally used for diabetes patients until they discovered how deadly it was. There are rumors of it resetting insulin sensitivity.
I’ll tell you how I figured out about dnp. When u start researching bodybuilding drugs u run into everything. First the steroids then the fat burners then the erection drugs then the blood pressure drugs acne drugs hair loss drugs etc etc

Dnp is only used ONLY because people will hear it’s very strong and deadly. Reading anecdotal reports like 10-20lbs of fat lost in 4 weeks. Insane results. The use of dnp probably comes from the forums and logs people run on it.

They see someone else survived it so they most likely will too. It’s not shortcut. Bodybuilders who compete spend months dieting before a show with every last thing on point.
You can’t run something like dnp and come out on top. It’s like my old experiences the heavier the drugs, the less u can work on diet and training due to ur well being. None of these drugs work if you don’t.

I’d almost say dnp is more directed to young women who no offense generally don’t understand the concept or difference between a gnc fat burner with herbs and a deadly pill that’s literally a pesticide that explodes if you hold a lighter to it. They don’t do the research they stop after they read “strong fat burner.” And think because it comes in pill form just like a gnc fat burner that it can’t be that big of a deal side effect wise.

The difference between someone who uses dnp and someone who doesn’t is someone who is unsatisfied with themselves and wants a quick change and someone who has a true passion for diet training and bodybuilding. The guys who have hit natural peak status and can’t continue without enhancement

That's really useful, and no offence taken - I am an old woman! :D
couple questions for you:
1. so DNP can really impact on your ability to train?
2. there would be two main groups of men who would use DNP, those who want a quick fix and those who have exhausted all other avenues?

1) highly, sweat yellow stain ur sheets lethargy can’t workout hard low strength trash appetite carb cravings. Everything we take can make training harder but dnp especially. It’s a double edged sword

2)yes to the first part. No to the second. You can’t exhaust all options regarding fat loss all it takes is caloric deficit. U don’t need any drugs to cause that. Dnp is strictly for those looking for a magic pill. I’ve never heard in my life of anyone who knows what they’re doing running dnp. It’s just a fad in the casual gym goer world who takes drugs. I’m sure it would be laughed at in the world of professional bodybuilding

I’m sure you’ll see all sorts of shit about dnp on reddit. You won’t on these kind of forums. Atleast not as much
