What Are You Training Today?

Legs for me tonight. Pretty good session getting back into the routine of things. Consistency is key! Had a hard time walking up the stairs when I got home. Enjoy your training everyone.

Chest with a little bicep touch up. Very light tonight, focusing on a squeeze and a very slow negative and then a held stretch at the bottom to avoid and momentum and bouncing. Nice pump. Where are the meso weekend warrriors at?!
 
Back and shoulders tonight. Threw them together because I had missed a couple days this week and needed to make up some ground.

When I got to the gym to start with deads, this chick was using the bumper plates. She was pulling 275! So I couldn't complain. Had a nice big ol booty too.

I hate doing them with hexagonal plates so I hit rack pulls. They felt damn good, miss doing those. I Threw on the inzer belt once I got heavier, and for some reason it made the lift HARDER to the point where I just took it off and kept going. I use the same belt with deads and squats no nissue... Can anyone explain thi sourcery??

Other than that solid workout. Hard to beat a near empty gym on a snowy Saturday afternoon.
 
Was planning on DL and squats today, but was too sore from the first workout after xmas a few days ago. Its good to feel sore, though!

Ended up doing dips and volume BP, 10 reps 10 sets. Quick in, quick out.

Nothing beats an empty gym. I know belts increase your abdominal cavity pressure which helps to stabilize your spine , but I honestly couldn't explain the belt making the lift harder. Hopefully someone else will chime in. Perhaps too strong for it haha? :D Good ol' rack deads. Found a new appreciation for them as well. Get a great squeeze totally focused on the back. Good stuff man.

Legs to start off the weekend. Felt pretty good and the hamstrings were on fire during the curls. Progressive overload and gradual training volume increases, along with the proper macro nutrient surplus are key to increasing muscle tissue. Stay strong Meso and keep killin' it! Squat and deads today, 5*5. Strong and fast on the squats, ten pounds off my max. Didn't quite get down in the hole, parallel if that. Have another week to get up to pre-Xmas shape: 310*5. My DL
 
My DL was on fire. 20 pounds off my max, fast and grindless. Will be at max again in another week or so. Have started doing double overhand the first two sets, then mixed grip, then last two with straps: grip coming along. Pizza and vitamin beer tonight, will kill it in the gym tomorrow morning!
 
Nothing like a good pizza the day before for a killer gym session. Chest and delts for me today.

Yeah man, good to see another member In the pizza-club. Another favorite is 2-3 Big Macs, no fries and water....calls for a big dump and guaranteed PRs the day after
