I feel you bro. I literally just started eating oats again I was doing the same damn thing haha. Anything special about black rice ??

Not necessarily other than it tastes good and I found a months old bag stashed in the pantry haha. I know it is very healthy but don’t recall specifically why and how it differs from other forms of rice.

I plan on mixing up black, brown, white and now brown jasmine rice with sweet potatoes for the majority of my carb intake. Other than vegetables of course.

Fuck yeah man, good suggestion! I’m currently building my nutrition protocol for my blast and variety is a huge factor, so I’ll add brown jasmine rice to the list.

Try these. I saw you mention you’re burned out on oats. These take a little longer to cook, but they are so good! Add stevia for sweet, or salt and a little pepper for savory...

Meal prep for next couple days - sirloin steak, sockeye salmon, chicken breast, black rice, sweet potatoes, asparagus, broccoli and Brussel sprouts.
Black rice is great. In my world we tend to avoid “white” rice, bread, potatoes, etc. white rice is processed and all of the nutrients were removed from it such as the germ and bran. The only thing white rice is good for is carbs. If you eat unprocessed rice like brown or jasmine or any other besides white you get the same carbs plus the fiber, bran, whole grain and protein from the endosperm.

Will do! After at least a few weeks away from oats haha. I was flavoring rolled oats with half a scoop of whey, almond milk and blueberries. Was good for awhile, but also gonna take heed of advice from @Wunderpus and minimize whey and maximize animal protein intake. So I will def give your flavor method a try with steel cut oats at some point.

Hmmmm that’s good stuff, @Sparkyp. I’ll have to look into that further. Thanks man, maybe i’ll take white rice off the menu. I knew it wasn’t as healthy as other forms of rice, but didn’t realize why.
 
first cheat meal in 3 weeks. went all out tonight. before this was pountine, sweet chili sauce cauliflowers, cheese plate, ceasar salad. afterwards some raspberry lemon cheesecake and s’mores ice cream. damn i’m full .

this is “chicken” parm with linguine, side salad, and garlic bread.
all vegan btw
