What R U Eating ? ~OGH wants to know.....

Love some Kimchi and banana peppers. What is your daily intake of carbs or what are you trying to stay below for ketosis? I'm guessing the kimchi and peppers are probably what 5-7 carbs?

I just started the diet less than a week ago so Im not looking for Ketosis right now , I will low carb it (under 100gms) for a few weeks then start cutting back on carbs until I get to around 40gms/day . I will then stay on Keto a few more weeks then I"ll either do a carb-up or slowly start adding carbs again . Depends on how I feel/look .

No ; keto diets arent fun , and it actually goes against everything we were raised to eat . And when you take the carbs away you lose muscle size , no doubt .

But when your an old guy that has accumilated fat around the middle (central obesity) the only way to rid it is to tear down , strip it and build back up , and try not to gain the fat back as you build back up .
Thats where Im at....
 
Not sure I agree that lack of carbs = muscle size loss. You might look flatter but honestly there are plenty of keto and carnivore guys who are ripped to shreds. It just depends on physiology in my opinion. High carb works for some, low or no carb for others. Look at what Vince Gironda did with the steak and eggs diet who was far beyond everyone during his time in his nutritional thinking.
