no you don't. All show and no go is for the boys. You're not that, which makes the prospect of you having that luxury all the more scary. You've done well with what you have imo. I mean, you could probably spike an average male like a football, so.....

Alot of the time pushing the boundaries can be beneficial but only for a short time.
I've been learning this, slowly. I never had issues until aas. I could hammer myself in the gym and never a problem but with the added stressors while on cycle I end up tearing myself up if I hit it too hard for too long. Was absolutely getting better at minimizing this but it came slowly. Thick skull over here apparently.

Cuz you cant fake strong. It has a certain dense look. And i find that very appealing.
Truth. The wife and I had been looking at pics from years past and when I power lifted I was wicked fucking thick looking. Pushing a 2x t-shirt at a lower bf% is fucking cool. Now I'm a 3x at 73% bf :p no way you can fake it, and why would you? Like you said the practical application of strength and power is unmistakeable. Would blow to put yourself in a situation where everyone thought you could help out or save the day but you couldn't, just to have a regular dude with balls and good leverage to come along and show you up lol

Dude, Saskatchewan rub is killer. Apricot glaze is killer. It's all good. They know their shit, no questions about it. You'll find that you have to work at fucking up meat in that thing. What did you get? The renegade?

Got me some Saskatchewan and apricot, cant wait to try it now.. I just grabbed the portable Tailgater 20 because it folds up and it's gonna be spending a lot of time up at the trailer this summer, but after using this this thing I can see I'm gonna have to get a larger one for home.. ;)

I guess put it this way.
Id rather fight Lee Priest than Konstantins. I have a feeling Big K could put that size to use. I dont think Lee could apply any of it. Strength and power in action. Id be lickin my chops at the prospect of throwing Lee around. Big K is a different story lol

Keep her clean. If you find your temp is a little wonky after some good use clean up your temp probe. That's probably the biggest concern, aside from keeping the burning pot cleaned out and grease.
Hey man, cleaned my probe after reading this, now my temp is running hot. What do I do? Any idea on a fix? Just threw a 16# brisket on. HELP!

Have no idea, Jesus. You use that bad boy often I feel like? Fwiw, traeger is always picking up the help line, not always the brightest guys but they pick up. 3 year warranty as well.

What temp setting is it on? I've read that the units can get +20/25 degrees hotter if the lid isn't left open while the unit heats up, you know that whole white smoke phase. I remember seeing temps like 200-225 with this problem. Not sure why this occurs though, have not found a reason for this.

A quick read tells me that people clean the prob with shit like toothbrushes all the way to sos pads without issue. I'm guessing the probe is actually fine. Follow the tiny white wires through the grill area and down to under the hopper, maybe something is getting wonky with that? I wish I had a finite answer for you. If anything is broken and needs fixing it might be the controller or a loose probe connection at the captured screw terminal for the probe connection on the controller. You'll need a small precision flathead screwdriver for this if that is loose.

Really curious how this turns out.

Ended up shutting it down and giving it a deep clean and when I fired it back up it had resolved itself. Thank God. I had it on smoke setting, I came back and it was at 225
 
Damn. Is the beef ruined?

I've had to clean mine out comprehensively once because the auger wouldn't stop. Strange af though, the controller was reading the correct temp in the grill area. A full clean out fixed it. I had a few calls with traeger and they sent me a new probe and controller, which are still unused. I swapped the parts and it still has the problem. I swapped them back out for the original parts and cleaned her out and it's run well ever since.

My wife just surprised me with another clean out last weekend I think.

You're making me want some brisket though, for real. You're a fan of that cut lol
 
I went out to Hampton last night with the wife. Two weekends in a row now. It's so nice to get the fuck away from my house. You folks have no idea how much we needed this. They closed the main drag down to cars so the road out of the beach is now a two way road. Wally's and the goat are now the defacto strip. Ate at the GOAT, had a burger. No pics so it didn't happen lol. BLT burger, it was awesome.
