Why there almost certainly is No God!!

BIGGER THAN PHIL
When did faith start to fade?
Adam Gopnik: When Did Faith Start to Fade? : The New Yorker

The most generous poll never seems to find more than thirty per cent of Americans saying they are “not religious or not very religious,” though the numbers get up to around fifty per cent in Europe. But something has altered in the course of a century or so. John Stuart Mill said in the early nineteenth century that he was the only youth he knew who was raised as a skeptic; by the end of his life, skeptics were all around him. Yet, though the nineteenth-century novel is roiled by doubt, there isn’t one in which the doubters quite dominate. Whatever change has occurred isn’t always well captured by counting hands. At a minimum, more people can say they don’t think there is a God, and suffer less for saying so, than has been the case since the fall of Rome. The noes have certainly captured some constituency, obtained some place. What, exactly, do they have?

Yea that scene above from True Detective is front line hardcore and clearly mean to gain attention..

"Religion is a language virus"... The writers went hard core from both angles. The real note being that while Woody is sold as an ignorant hick, at the same time he acknowledges humanity's potential without religious governance. So he's not even arguing, BUT IS SOLD AS OPPOSITE TO MCConnahey's atheistic position. On a skin you gather that woody is faith based but still appreciates Mattgews professional capacity as cop with human nature. TRUTHFULLY (as a show and both character roles) this is a VERY SUBVERSIVE ATTEMPT AT SEDITION AGAINST GOD/ RELIGION - and NOT just "the church" and people that run it..!!! This is the kind of genius which when applied in this manor can move mountains OR wind up targeted on the wrong radars in a bad way for the manufacturer...!

I will further point out that the effect of the scene was "subversively hypnotic" in the way it was delivered/ caused I watched that episode and don't recall all that detail. You're just looking at their million dollar pusses, and checking out the hillbilly tent revival scene while all along all that talk is being pumped into your mind with that negative message toward religion from ALL CHARACTERS..! So it's hi tech hypnosis at its finest as well. I do like the show. I am also capable of accurately interpreting the information and qualifying unbiased and open mind. If I were a simple twit who was offended I would just act up and be dumb. If I were intelligent, I would take as present and dissect to understand intent and methodology then applying however I believed fit. A move like that gives away position to the right eyes and ears. So minimally it's very creative and a good point to learn a lot about human psychology at an ultra-high real application.

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2uaoiiFaE9w]Creationists Talking About Creationism - YouTube[/ame]

These clips come from HBO documentary Questioning Darwin. Says the first interviewee, Pastor Peter LaRuffa, "If somewhere within the Bible, I were to find a passage that said 2 + 2 = 5, I wouldn't question what I'm reading in the Bible. I would believe it, accept it as true, and then do my best to work it out and understand it."

Ya Know. I'm goofin around with a puter on a 60" display and noted the pic of Darwin you have attached here. WHAT GIVES. Are you aware the actual design of the photo/.gif(Ithink) that you have published here. It appears to a strictly comprised of a bazillion little tiny "photoblocks" of pictures of other things. Is that some sort of copyright, a puzzle to another picture, a hidden communication within, or what...?

Here is a print screen of a zoom in...
(You must click the link below the larger version which you originally published to see the zoom ZOOM...)

Shit, take a damn good and long look at that chicks butt.

Perfectly rounded, morphed to fit the posterior pelvic girdle void, raised like distant mountain peak, and explicitly configured to generate erections in ANY man!

Now so "evolution" from a volcanic melting pot of "the elements" created ALL
THAT?

Who you kidding.

It's just as likely to believe that the universe was and always has been as it is to believe an omnipotence was and always has been.

I lean toward the later because of the prophetic knowledge compiled in the bible before it's time.

Still - A POINT I would make Is WHY - one THIS green Earth - Is it not possible that God and Jesus Christ apply to this planet and dimensions associated with IT, and WHY does "our God" have to be so fucking kick ass that he made the damn Universe...??!!!!! "Heavens" does not necc pertain to every fucking thing every friggin incepted, made, contrived, invented, or spontaneously combusted.....!

EVERYONE ... . . . . .. IS so fucking POMPOUS about "Their God". Its fucking ridiculous. WHO.... Is ANY ONE of use dumb ass scum sucking URCHENTS to be so BLESSED as to CLAIM to have the knowledge of WHAT IS. And wouldn't YOU get a spanking when YOU arrived at the Golden Gates and JUST FOR THE SAKE of BACKING a concept POLLUTED in so many ways.

It would be one thing if the people preaching and ranting and falling to their knees even KNEW THE FACTS of the WRITINGS. But short of PROFITIERS, a few wanna-be Martyrs, and a nice fella or two - EVERYONE IS SO FUCKING LAZY OR SCARED, that they don't even dare read for themselves and attempt to make a decision on their own. What if they decided after reading that their ass was just mush in the ground after death. FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE...!!!

The profit I see in this thread is only the discussion of science and how the Writings relate. After all. If god made folks, fuckups, and assholes, he made SCIENCE TOO. He certainly gives SCIENCE a REASON TO OPERATE minimally speaking. And the best part is REAL OR NOT...!

It's just as likely to believe that the universe was and always has been as it is to believe an omnipotence was and always has been.

Once BBC becomes entrapped in a philosophical quandary, there is no stopping him mate.

Hang in there ASFJ, his theorems will only become much more complex, less intuitive and more intellectually challenging as the night wanes onward, often mandating an Einsteinian degree of understanding.
