Why there almost certainly is No God!!

Didnt think I'd have to clarify people who identify as Catholic rather than a ortho Christian but you already knew that and were just trying to insult me.

Also, I never said you were never mocked for being Christian, but to act like there is some mass regularity in harassing and mocking Christians to the point where your afraid to come out in the open about it is hysterical.

Worst offender here.... well if challenging your beliefs offends you, then sure, I'm the worst "offender". I'll proudly take that title.
Why challenge them? Can't you just respect the fact that there are those who are believers. I have no problem that you're an atheist. My brother is.
The difference is he's not out to change me or challenge my beliefs. He's respectful and understands challenging a believer is comical. Just like challenging an atheist will get me nowhere.
You come off as an arrogant prick. An individual who shows zero respect for those with different views. And that's why I think you're an asshole.
What's the name of this thread? That alone is a shot at Christians. But I've realized that discussing anything with you is useless.

If you haven't realized the importance of challenging everyone's beliefs, creeds principles or whatever, including atheists, you have a very severe lack of historical or frankly a naive way of how life works. I literally gave dozens of examples of how they affect the country I live in AND the special treatment they receive by our government.

What about what I find offensive? Christians and the religous alike telling people they'll burn in hell for not accepting jesus christ as there savior. The pope saying AIDS are bad but condoms are worse. Churches protesting planned parenthood. People holding signs up about gays going to hell.

But wait, I'm the asshole because I said your religion is not true. If you read my comments I've consistently tried to show a in good faith conversation with everyone and when I haven't I've apologized. Just because what I say makes you uncomfortable doesnt mean I'm being disrespectful.

Doesn't make me uncomfortable. It's disrespectful. Plain and simple. I don't challenge you on being an atheist. I don't tell you that atheism is BS.
Again you want respect but don't give it.
You've never shown good faith towards those who believe. You only try and disprove it.
You talk in circles. We get it. You don't like religion and want to condemn all of us that do.
You're extremely close minded for someone who thinks they're so intelligent.
Of course you can be offended. But it wasn't by me. Wheras you have no problem doing it to me.
I've seen your kind many times. Disagree with your beliefs and your wrong.
Every point you make about the Church attacking others can equally be said about those who attack Christianity.
It isn't a one way fukin street. What part about that don't you fukin understand?
No wonder no one would go down range with you. You obviously didn't learn respect in the service.
I'm just putting you on ignore. Your inability to understand differing opinions is sad.

Are you keeping this strictly in America or worldwide? Because worldwide is a MUCH different picture than America when it comes to persecution of Christians, whether day the hands of other religions or governments like N Korea and China as well as the Middle East countries.

What I do t hear and rarely EVER hear is an attack on Islam. Why not? It’s not Christians beheading “infidels” and murdering people for drawing cartoons of their prophet or leader. Sure, you have fringe groups like Westboro Baptist but the most they do is protest and heckle. Islam is actually beheading and murdering gays, raping women and blowing people to the same hell you say Christians threaten everyone with. If you’re going to be fair, be fair and point out more than Christianity.

He has his own agenda. And being fair sure as shit isn't part of it.

In general I find more people taking offense at Christianity and Christ than any other religion and it really comes as no surprise. The truth always has haters whereas the false have very few critics.
I think that's just because you're surrounded by Christians and atheists.
If half of our country was Islamic I'd be really scared. I'm used to Christians, they don't scare me.

Personally, I hate to see people in power that blindly follow any faith. There are lots of parts of Christianity that are just good rules to live by but there's some pretty far out their stuff too.

Lol. Show me where I'm being disrespectful. To me the whole doctrine is disrespectful. Does it not say I'll go to hell if I dont believe in the son? Does it not condemn gays ? The decrees of going to a town and killing the men and taking the woman for themselves. I'm disrespectful ?.. because of what ? I argue against your religion? Seriously where am I insulting you or disrepsecting you ? I point out flaws in your dogma considering it's throw in the face of everytime I walk down the street seeing a church. Dont get me wrong, most churches do good things and leave out the awful stuff the bible condones but the whole position is this is suppose to be the word of god so how can you leave out passages ?

Lol at equivocating my experience of some believers reaction when they find out I'm atheist downrange to me being disrespectful. I dont go around asking if they're religious and try to destroy there beliefs. You're being ridiculous and making a devil out of me that's totally fabricated due to your sensitivity and emotional attachment to your religion.

You keep dodging my answers and closing your ears like a child. Let me reiterate what I said.

1. I speak out against religion only because religion shouts out hows special they are. I can't comprehend how self centered you have to be to think me debating your religions ideas are somehow oppressive or close minded. You literally have been attacking me from the start without providing any examples of what is so offensive.

2. Theres no atheist doctrine. There is no decree or commandment .. or threat of eternal damnation or calling for violence if you don't believe what I do. What have I said about the church, that people who attack Christianity have been guilty of?

3. I dont care if you think atheism is BS. It wouldnt bother me even in the slightest if you tried to show me my understanding of the universe is wrong. That's the point of the thread and these conversations. I welcome anyone to discuss with me about it in good faith. You have just sat there and judged me based of me pointing out the faults in your faith. You've provided nothing to the argument besides a poor me I'm a prosecuted Christian attitude.

The whole tone with you has been judgemental and evasive.

Christians spent many years murdering in the name of god. Burning people alive, torture crusades etc. So it's not like there wasn't a period of this for Christians either.

Regaurdless, I point out all religions when the opportunity presents itself. You can look at my post history of me calling out Rajput in some of his threads claiming Islam is a religion of peace. Again, mostly Christian's have been in this thread and in America I face disgreements with Christians much more then muslims, since I have few interactions with them and the politicians the represent the people are mostly Christian's.

About Christians being prosecuted..

I was responding to hurricane claiming some sort of American oppression against Christian's and thst they are a huge amount of people scared to come out as a Christian.

Also for the record, I do not and have never said someone I'd less intelligent then me because they follow a religion. That is an absurd way to think. I've met and follow many highly intelligent; far far more intelligent then me that are believers. Intelligence is not the only factor when following a religion or believing in a god.

It’s funny that you mention the crusades since that was actually in opposition to what, 300 years of Muslims murdering and raping Christians? Again, the teachings of Christ don’t condone murder of anyone, so you would have to look at where the fault lies - in men or God? In the case of the crusades, I part ways with @hurricane because those were the orders of the pope, and Christians do not subscribe to or take orders from him. That was in the RCC, sorry Hurricane, just stating facts. In fact, a quick look through history in general shows the RCC being the only “sect” of Christianity who killed and again, those teachings did NOT come from Jesus, but from man.

Honestly, the crusades were obviously much more then just religion so I won't act like that's a great example.

Does Christ not say?... I'm paraphrasing here, "I have not come to bring peace to earth but a sword". Was a verse Matthew if I recall correctly. Which brings me to my next point, the teachings of the bible are completely contradicting.

What was the sword he was speaking of? Certainly not murder.

33 But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father in heaven. 34Do notassume that I have come to bring peace to theearth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35 For I have come to turn ‘A man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.…

This certainly does not seem very loving. I went to a study group specifically for this verse a few years ago. Will have to come back with the notes I wrote down from the minister. There's a few examples like these throughout the bible of jesus not being so loving. Most of what is taught of Jesus is suspiciously selective .

The sword he spoke of was division and it’s quite evident that he was foretelling the things to come. That division between households would come as a result in Jewish families as they rejected himwhilemothers accepted him as their messiah as well as other homes and families where family members would come to him and those who didn’t would reject those who do come. It happens all the time between religions. Not just Christianity. Muslim families kill those who leave Islam and embrace another religion. Jewish families have held funerals for those who depart from the faith and embrace Christ as their messiah.

Not gonna lie - the teachings of Christ are quite exclusive. So were left with the choice of accepting what he said and believing his words or rejecting them.

Atheists and Other Cultural Outsiders: Moral Boundaries and the Non-Religious in the United States

A study showing that Americans have the worst opinion of atheists than of Muslims, immigrants, gays or any other minority group named in the study. Which is why it is hilarious seeing a Christian claim some wide spread oppression. Come on now..
Wait until the Muslims begin taking over the US numerically, as they’re already doing. Have a look at Europe - that’s our future. And soon, when they’re in the majority and enforcing Sharia law, you’ll see just what Islamic discrimination against atheists, gays, Jews and Christians looks like.
