There’s nothing illegal about buying and selling Bitcoin and that’s all they are using PP for. It’s not like he’s conducting gear business through PP. but all in all, I’d prefer to not have someone have my private info.

Except if the names are the same... then they can have reasonable belief to connect the 2. Subpeona granted...

FWIW there is. If you are selling it for profit, as a business you need a money transmitter license as you are operating as a money service. You also need to follow KYC laws.

There have been numerous cases of people getting popped for peer to peer bitcoin trading. Now add in, to knowingly sell btc to for illegal activity, and you have a big issue.

There is no crime in buying btc though.

To connect yourself as a source, to a paypal, is dicey.

I stand corrected. Thanks for the info!

Scary part is, some of the cases of people getting into trouble for operating without a lic, got a good deal of time. Like more than what I have seen UGL's get. Uncle Sam doesn't take kindly to fucking with their money!

Probably an example to be set because the Fed cant profit off crypto.

You’re an idiot Jano. I would expect no less from you. I also don’t expect you to understand a simple subpoena to PayPal for CryptoGuy is all that is needed to find the source through their legit BANK ACCOUNT.

THIS SOURCE IS NO LONGER ANONYMOUS!!!!!!!!!!
It's indeed quite sad seeing you thinking you are not stupid and your words are worth writing down. You are also saying a different thing than the one I reacted to.

It's not like it takes literally minutes to purchase a bank account in DNM or find a willing PayPal launderer on LocalBitcoins.

But c'mon, use more exclamation marks as an argument.

Yes.

In US.

It might however be a surprise to many that US is not the only country in the world and that you indeed may send money over the PayPal to holders of accounts of different origin, which are not bound by the same laws.

Making a laundromat out of PayPal is far from difficult and there are many established businesses that will gladly help you out with that.

Not saying that's how it went, just playing the devil's advocate, because certain stupid people make an awful lot of stupid assumptions (hello @Sdryx ). And it would be sad if the loud minority was able to force their opinion on others, wouldn't it?

And is this a service you provide seeing how you are inna different country?

No. It's very mundane and relatively low profit, due to rampant competition. Great to do when you have 1000 regulars, not worth the time if you have less than 100.

Such services are located, a bit to my surprise, mostly in Western Europe.

I'm sorry, what?

You are missing the entire point because you are so obsessed with me for blowing up your scam.

The whole operation is swiss cheese. It’s a drug dealer trying to be a business man. Not a business man who is dealing in drugs. Big difference to me.

You are ok having your US bank account linked to a drug dealer because you are purchasing drugs/bitcoin via PayPal drug dealer?????????

You blowing up anything? Maybe the top of your head from trying to think too hard.

And damn. Fuck him for letting people choose whether the ease of payment with PayPal is worth it for them.

Also, how would you assume the payments are paired to to a "drug dealer?"

If he launders through a legitimate European company, like most do, then US law is seeing nothing of that.

Or do you have some evidence that he doesn't?

More question marks don't count as argument.

this source isn't really worth arguing about. the red flags started popping up a couple of months ago with the k hole comment. Than promising he could sell anything and everything. Than disappearing on weekends. I'd recommend people stay away
