Ben’s random thoughts

Lots of things but probably homeless, smokers, arsonists, or or a overheated wheel bearing on a tractor trailer. These are the usual causes of and I forgot the power lines there are in terrible condition. Mostly the gov won't allow controlled burns and brush clearing.

Well, that's it.

No accidental cause, arsonists, whatever is ever mentioned.
To me, it doesn't make any sense, that's why I asked.

All the blame is on climate change.

OK, you can say there has been less rain because blah blah.

But fire, just like that?

The media and the government...

Dont tell him the dates of his favorite foods then… lol.

I suppose Strudel dates back a few decades, lol.

I understand there are some recipes that haven't quite withstood the test of time.
But it all comes down to personal taste, in the end.
Like prawn cocktail, that's another recipe that has not aged well, really...
But lots of people still like those flavours.

Also this area is extremely dry dessert area and the winds gust 60+80 mph but yes the biggest issue is over regulation from the government.

Ben,

I have watched the news and heard about the fires in California.
All they say here is that the weather conditions have been dry, now it's windy, and it is all due to climate change.

However, I still do not understand what it is that is setting the vegetation on fire, in the first place.
What is it that creates ignition?
Surely, even if the trees etc are dry, temperatures cannot be that high, in January, to make all that happen. Or can they?

Is it not caused accidentally?

Hopefully you are nowhere near there.

Do you know anything about what is going on?
Im not sure the actual cause of these fires but this has and will always be a risk associated with living in this area, along with earthquakes. I’m surprised people are surprised by this.

Anyways, it’s a big mess but my kids are safe and that’s all matters to me.
Thanks for checking.
I’m in a different hemisphere lol.

Couple of quick older movie reviews

Plane (2023)

Platform: Starz

Rating: 7.4

Very quick movie. Lots of action. Reminiscent of 80’s/90’s action flicks.View attachment 311621
I watched this one a while back...and was surprised how much I enjoyed it. Nothing life changing but if I recall correctly the plot was not completely ridiculous and there wasn't a lot of lag in action and plot progression.
