So I started over... I was approaching this all wrong... rushing through sets, minimal rests between sets = inability to complete and painful, prolonged recovery times. Knee hurts and elbow hurts but voodoo floss is on the way. Finished everything today- first day I got through everything without a missed rep or set (or skipped lol).

What did you think of the workout with longer rest periods? More manageable? Shit does look daunting at first and on paper but you quickly learn to keep pushing.
 
Smart move on the added time between sets. Your training for strength now and it is all about getting the reps in with as good of form as possible. If it takes 5 minutes in between sets at the end of the session in order to get the reps in without form breaking down so be it.

More time between heavy sets is definitely needed as we get older and there isn't any reason to fight it.
 
I think last time we talked you were seeing the doc about a hyper thyroid? What did he/she say?

Ever get a sleep machine?
They made me go through so much bullshit to qualify I gave up. I dropped the gh and my sleep improved- I guess having your limbs go numb all night and being ten lbs heavier fucks with my sleep pretty bad- doing much better know at 270, leaning out while holding weight and getting stronger. I really felt like a lump of shit at 280.... not that I might not try again at some point but too much going on to not be sleeping, feel me? Hope all is well.
 
Just jumped on the sheiko template #29.My lp progression has stopped dead in its tracks last week and i feel my totals are fair enough.I need a beating for the next four months anyhow.I feel you on the 280lb tip brutus.Im 287 at around average bf 12-16%?But i am feeling shit this big.You know the body and organs dosnt know if your a ripped 280 or fat slob 280...either way it is hard on the joints and organs im sure.

I can't stress enough:

1) take as much rest as needed to get all reps and sets! Don't miss reps bc you rushed through it.

2) don't add anything unless you're experienced enough to know how it'll affect your fatigue and volume management. Subbing an accessory for another that targets a specific weak point is fine but don't go adding in to a of work.

3) recovery is more important here than most other programs. You WILL be run down. It's guaranteed. Sleep and eat right and limit anything that hampers recovery.
