Contest Prep - How to

Another question, what are you doing backstage? Do you bring bands for pump?
I am no bodybuilder but I have been to 2 shows with a retired pro bodybuilder. He has them do some bands but then he uses a blow dryer on hot. It does make your veins pop out. He does it for 15 &- 20 minutes before they go on stage

I guess that would have the same effect as sitting in a sauna, would be dried out. Interesting.

At what point in your preps do you go completely "clean"? Meaning no cheat days / meals. Also when dropping carbs are you doing refeeds or just going with the planned macros?

@jaymaximus This thread and your own metamorphosis that you posted recently has me really wanting to do Classic bodybuilding division this October for a local show they have in my city every year. Following this thread for much needed advices, thank you all for contributing to this so far.

Show is in late October, so about 6 months away. I want to spend at least 2 more months recomping and growing slowly before I start any prep because that is the current course I'm on right now. Current bodyweight is around 200lbs and its going up slowly while leaning out as well and this is the plan for the next 8 or so weeks. Assuming I am starting prep at a place where abs are fully visible and so are all other important details, do you guys think a 12-14 week prep is sufficient for classic physique for a local show? (Only fat burning drug being planned is GH - I can't tolerate stimulants in the least so clenbuterol is out of the question. Not sure how I feel about t3 yet either. I get regular panic attacks and some of them are fucking brutal, so I avoid anything that fucks up heart rate).
