Daily Log to 2019 Show Season

Man I just don’t see much more that you can lose unless it’s possibly in the glute/ham area. Maybe 5-8 more pounds max is all I could possibly see you going down. Whoever you’ve got dialing you in is doing a helluva job! I know you’re working your ass off...it’s def showing! People don’t have a clue what someone goes through to do this. I’ve got no room at all for negative people.... A good support group is def a key ingredient. It’s almost as important as nutrition. You’ve got this man! Focused all the way to the end! Be the last man standing...[emoji123]
Appreciate the support man. Sincerely do.

Between my offseason and a coach that i always had confidence in but surprises me every week with progress from such little tweaks, it’s been fairly “easy” comparatively speaking. If you ask my family they may say otherwise.

As far as what’s left; for weight you’re probably right excluding any water manipulations to drop weight near weigh ins. Lower core (front and back), glutes, hams in order of what needs the most changes. I imagine I’ll see 189 or so on the scale before the qualifier. We aren’t depleting and peaking to the max for this one.

I’m in my own head a bit because I remember how hard I worked to reach my conditioning last time. Have to remember this isn’t last year, this is a qualifier and the national show is what really matters. I’m not discounting the local competition, just confident I’ve done my homework.

Meso, aside from a couple fuckheads, has been invaluable for me so far. Support system of its own for sure. Happy to be here and have you guys in my corner.

Side note; wrote and roughed in my routine today.

Based on the first 1:12 of Basic Needs by Jonathan Davis (rock edit)

Ill post stills as I perfect it so you guys can see what I’m bringing. Posing is an art, and i take a lot of pride in it.

Diet:
3800 cals, 470p/260c/85f, dropped fats by ~40g (360 cals) and added 40g carbs (160cals)

Cardio: 6x60m a week, 10% Incline, 3.5mph, this will be split 40-45 fasted, 15-20 post
As far as cardio goes.. I’ve seen you mention that you do the incline treadmill in order to not overwork your legs. If overworking legs wasn’t a concern, what would you suggest doing? Strictly looking at fat burning. Would the stair master for 30 minutes equate to your 60minute treadmill routine?

I don’t know how cals line up 1:1. Logic says the stairs take more cals per unit of work output, IMO.

Hi Mac. Was scrolling through your log. Gotta say quite the improvement from last prep. You put on a lot of size. Damn fine job sir! Thanks for all the detail as well in your log and posts.

Had a question regarding your coach. Does he handle on line clients? Do you coach people as well??

I'm 44, been wanting to compete for a while, i just always allow life to get in the way. Was prepping last year, but became a major asshole, almost cost me my marriage. So i backed out.

At any rate, great job. No doubt a pro card is in your future.

My coach is 100% online; he coaches me through photos and emails. He’ll be at my national show for peaking, however.

I do coach but I prefer not to do show preps; At this time i can’t commit to the time necessary for the last two weeks to give a competitor what they need to peak for the stage. I do however offer training for Meso Members. Search for “Macro Development.” I have a few clients on already with a variety of goals. Happy to discuss yours.

If show prep coaching is what you’re after I’d suggest contacting @Atlas_Physiques as @fodsod has joined them to offer this service. Have full faith in his capabilities.

And as always appreciate the support!

Appreciate all the support from everyone. I think this will be my last photo update. Have a few weeks of hard grind ahead. Think we’re gonna bring something special. I’ll be sure to post day-of photos carbed up, but only expect diet and drug updates until then.

Training remains the same style; heavy work until we stop for the show though actual poundage on lifts will suffer.

As always, unedited, no filters. This one is post back-training.

Woke up this AM at 194.2. Hoping to see 190-191 without water manipulation before this show to make deciding on the plan for Nats easier.

Meso has been huge for me through offseason and prep for gaining knowledge and as a new type of support system. So thank you all sincerely for that.

Starting to look fucking freaky dude
I’ll never be the biggest. Maybe won’t have the absolute smallest waist or joints, but I think I’ve got a pretty good balance of size, proportion, and an aesthetic look that’ll make me a tough opponent. We shall see. And as always, can absolutely control conditioning so we’re burrying that nail as deep as possible.

Way more guys walk away as the winner bringing a balanced lean package with no major flaws. Sure, a small waisted, tiny joint guy has a slight advantage if he's 100% and been working hard but if he's off just a little, can't pose or hasn't been working very hard the balanced, conditioned guy wins every time.

I don't think you could be in a better spot for both shows right now. You and your coach have enough experience and knowledge to bypass any stupid mistakes also so regardless of outcome you'll be as good as you could be this year. You can't ask for better than that.

looks like you're gaining on the quad separation as well. On back day...lol

Shoulder striation there is intense. Looking forward to day of.
