DHT in serum is very different than testosterone in serum, it’s been shown in studies that drastically increasing serum DHT doesn’t have the impact one would think, whereas increasing serum testosterone DOES increase DHT effects because that gets 5a reduced in the “DHT sensitive tissues”. Don’t think anyone knows for sure but I wouldn’t be surprised if it did a lot less than people would expect.

These discussions are meaningless. Most studies about DHT are misleading. For instance, it has almost been confirmed that E2 is a bigger culprit for the prostate. Currently, most people using DHT esters are very satisfied, and non-esterified DHT might be the best pre-workout option.

Regardless, there is a very serious demand for a product that is hard to find. You can see the reviews of users on Twitter. In the US, they can access it through compounding pharmacies or special UGLs.

I’d agree there is serious demand for a hard to find product, but would disagree the discussions are meaningless. We parse apart biological actions of all the different products we put in our body, I think it’s totally fair to do the same with DHT. I agree many of the DHT studies are misleading or poorly done, doesn’t invalidate the fact that raising serum DHT levels doesn’t equate remotely to the same biological actions of endogenous DHT production.

None of that means DHT esters wouldn't be great, I’m just saying it’s not doing the same thing your endogenously produced DHT would do, which honestly might make it even better.

I meant it's absurd to argue for or against its production. I misunderstood you. I think it's not much different from endogenous production, but if DHT also decreases towards the evening like endogenous testosterone production, stabilizing the levels will probably be different. DHT is really complex. When its ester is used solo, it also raises testosterone levels, produces a lot of estrogenic metabolites, etc. High doses result in estrogenic side effects. These are the things I've observed from those who have used it so far.

It has significant GABAergic effects. Anecdotes say it increases pheromones. And I've seen mostly positive reviews from its users.

It's definitely a hormone that needs to be taken very seriously. Serious research and perhaps assistance are needed to use it because the effects are very complex. But not to fear effects like prostate enlargement or hair loss.
