If its serious, it points out one of the problems with this animal worship
mentality. (It allows people to further disconnect themselves with the important
things in life) Ive seen it many times. Its even spreading to other countries as
they gain more disposable income they also loose site.

Ive had good dogs, even one that was really special.
I take excellent care of any animals that are ever on my farm.
Wormed, vaccinated, fed well, and attended to.
Thats a part of taking responsibility.
But they are just about disposable too me.
I care more for humans, whether its deserved or not.
Maybe its a Southern thing, or rural upbringing, their just
a fkn dog.
Its sad to me when I see humans putting so much of their
feelings into a animal. Their contact is a pathetic replacement
to real family and friends.

No other creature even comes close. If the human species was eradicated from the world today, can you honestly say the world *wouldn't* be the better for it? It would certainly be a much better place for every other living creature in existence.

So yes, I guess I agree with the earlier mentioned quote about choosing a dog over a person. I certainly don't view them as "just a fucking dog." You will never find a human friend as loyal as a dog and I honestly believe I would choose a good dog over most people any day, particularly a woman.

Exactly. I think nun misunderstood my post. Obviously I don't put my dog above my family or friends, but I do consider my dog family. That said, it's my opinion that 90% of the people in this world are assholes and I would take my dog over anyone of them.

I am a city slicker, but I spent a lot of my summers as a kid on a farm in michigan. I've hunted and killed animals. I know exactly what you're saying. I guess I just make a distinction between my dog and the cow I'm about to eat. When my dogs die, I'm sad, but it's not like my father died or something.

For an old person or child a dog can be something special. This I understand well.
My dog has a job-protect my home-for this he gets his food and vet bills paid. If he lives to be too old to protect my home, he will still continue with his benefits. When he dies I will bury him in the flower garden with all the others that came before him and place a marker above his grave....Contract fulfilled....But he is still just a dog, not family, not friend, not neighbor. He gets no Christmas, no birthday, no day off. If he were to snap at a neighbor or chase after a child I would shoot him dead and throw his corps in the green box--Contract fulfilled--
We dont hang at the park together or go to doggy camp. That shit is for city people.
Love is not enough when it comes to animals, they are a responsibility. I see so many people that love their animals yet fail to give them proper care. Yep, that wormy, flee bitten, poo eaten, crap machine is loved and over fed.....Big deal

I fucking hate cats. I'm not PETA. I hate the people at dog parks who treat their dogs like people. They generally have dogs that they have no control over. I get pissed when I see untrained, fat ass dogs because it generally means they have a shitty owner.

I am the same way, if a dog, or any animal at that matter, even a person try's to harm me or my kids, than they will get ether beat down or shot, stabbed whatever it takes to eliminate the threat at that given point and time.. Also I am the same with seeing untrained dogs, it's bullshit, it isn't hard to train a dog, if you don't others around you and or other dogs or animals suffer cause of it... But people will be people and choose to be lazy and not train there animals keeping your dog heathy and loved is not the only thing they need they also live to be shown what to do...
