Hello, gentlemen!
The main source of rumors about the dangers of ethyl oleate is blogger Vigorous Steve.
In his reasoning, he is based on the fact that Ethyl Oleate (EO) oil isn’t FDA-approved, and that's all! In my opinion, it's a wrong reasoning.
The lack of FDA approval does not mean a direct danger to health, any compound can be dangerous in excessively large quantities, however, steroids used to contain quite a lot of Ethyl Oleate, and some medical forms are made from a mixture of Ethyl Oleate with oil, we are talking about parts, not in small percentages like ours, such drugs are widespread in Spain, and doctors do not see the danger; patients have not expressed complaints for so many years.
Also, Ethyl oleate is not currently approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for any injectable use but There is also no ban on its use! It's allowed for direct addition to food for human consumption and lots of studies on this [1] , and most important thing is, ethyl oleate is approved by the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) and European Pharmacopeia (EP). It is widely used in pharmaceutical drugs and steroid preparation. [2]
Even for the most sensitive drug market Ethyl oleate is considered as safe, it is used to prepare daily doses of progesterone in support of pregnancy.
Let us remind you that the doses of testosterone that are commonly used in sports, as well as many other drugs and their dosages, are also not approved by the FDA, for example, here is one excerpt: Chronic use of testosterone enanthate in supraphysiological dose (doping dose) has a toxic effect on rat cardiac muscle and liver in the form of alteration of normal histology, hypertrophy and fibrosis at both histological and biochemical levels which may lead to loss of their functions. [3]
Ethyl oleate (EO) is the ethyl ester of oleic acid. Oleic acid is the most widely distributed and the most extensively produced of all fatty acids in nature, small concentrations of ethyl oleate can be found in the body as a breakdown product of alcohol, even that which is naturally produced in the human body.
In the 50s it was used as the main carrier for injectables and was stopped only because cheaper alternatives were found; there is not a single registered case of problems from EO.
And super-physiological concentrations of even super-healthy vitamin C can lead to kidney stones.
Dryad products contain the minimum amount of ethyl oleate, we cannot give exact formulas, since on the one hand this is a secret, and on the other, the number varies from drug to drug.
However the issue of safety and comfort during long-term use by our clients was put at the forefront when our specialists developed the formulation, so Dryad products contain the best components that we could find on the market and the minimum amount of solvents.
