Fat Loss via other mechinisms

What compounds promote fat loss by other mechanisms besides appetite suppression? Which allow for a caloric deficit.

So if you eat at maintenance yet use these various compounds you will still lose body fat, due to other mechanisms at play.

I know some increase temperature, so thermogenic.

I believe DNP, Clen and Albuterol increase body temp thus promoting fat loss even while eating at maintenence.

I hope this makes sense.

Following this thread. Yohimbe has always interested me, but apparently it can cause pretty awful anxiety, which has prevented me from trying it. Paradoxically though I think there is research showing dosing yohimbe before exposure to a fear inducing thing (exposure therapy for phobias) caused people to lose fear of it faster. It is a very interesting substance.

titrate it slow and start without any other stims on it. You should also check out alpha yohimbine which is supposed to be an better version with less harsh sides.

I'd start with just 1-2mg tbh if you are sensitive.

I like some scientific data to go with it if possible.

With that said, DNP is king but comes with side effects depending on dose. I remember seeing an article or page recently stating T3 can boost metabolism about 10 to 15% I believe. Lyle McDonald claimed the ECA stack was about 5 to 8%, been years since I read his article tho. I personally never saw fat loss from HGH, if I did lose some it was minimal. IMO, hgh is absolutely not worth using just for fat loss.

I'll say this from personal experience. If someone struggles with weight change and they constantly yo yo,I would not recommend anything until you get your diet/self control fixed.

DNP: mitochondrial uncoupling
T3: transcriptional control of genes encoding mitochondrial proteins (and T4 by extension as it converts to T3)
Clen: β2-adrenoreceptor induced increased cAMP activity
rhGH: I get into the many lipolytic mechanisms in my book, appropriate use is very good for lipolysis and recomp.
Yohimbine: α2-adrenoreceptor blockade induced increased norepinephrine

Those are the interesting ones.

The only thing Lyle gets wrong in that article, if we're talking about the same one, is that clen β2-adrenoreceptor down-regulation is irrelevant. It's not: since β2-adrenoreceptor action in lipolysis is mediated by a G-protein coupled receptor, tolerance rises quickly in humans. Lyle is the guy for nutrition though and I always refer guys to him on all nutrition matters.

I don't remember the exact article, however I never paid attention to anything about clen. Having read people's comments about feeling stimmed out, high heart rate, etc, I decided I would never touch it.

How about albuterol?

Is there a combination here that works better then just one alone since thwy work ok different avenues of the body

I’ve gone as high as 22.5mg y HCL and I can’t say I’ve seen much of a difference. I didn’t experience any real sides, either.

I’ve used salbutamol sulphate up to 12mg/day, it was pretty effective, although at that dosage combined with caffeine, it was uncomfortable. Clen without sides they say, which is true, for the most part, just don’t go up to 12mg/day ;). No sides at lower dosages, 6-8mg/day was the sweet spot, I think.

Do you mean 0.06-0.08mg daily? Or were you taking the equivalent 300-400 clen tabs daily?

I don't see much value in albuterol. Either clen or terbutaline (a bit of an obcure one) have efficacy for hypertrophy and lipolysis.

rhGH is synergistic with clen in modulating beta- adrenoreceptors as GH agonizes the beta1- and beta3- receptors (as a very minor mechanism, though) and clen agonizes beta2-.

Some of them you absolutely should not use in synergy, e.g. yohimbine and clen, or clen and the ECA stack, or yohimbine and the ECA stack, for example. T3 and rhGH also. T4 and rhGH watch for potential thyrotoxicosis... You know what, I would rather say don't mix any of these rather than have to give you all the qualifiers!

DNP should probably just be viewed as the battering ram that trumps all of them. But don't expect to grow on it.

I can’t even drag my lethargic ass to the gym on any significant dose of DNP. The idea of attempting to add mass while on it is almost comical.

Definitely start low, GNC used to have a yohimbine supp standardized to 9mg Yohimbine per tablet. Only took a whole tab once...lol

Thanks! I have always been super sensitive to stims.

He was still referring to salbutamol--so 6-8 mg per day. No sides.

I'm curious why you think Salbutamol is worthless? Just not strong enough? The research I've read was pretty good regarding both far loss and mass gaining.

Can you post links to the studies you’ve read? The 4 studies I’ve read in support of albuterol use were pretty disappointing.
