    Re: Subcutaneous testosterone injections

I kind of figured it was the oil. It's just weird how I didn't even feel a knot until the third day after injection. You would think the oil would have knotted up directly after injection.

And I agree that the hormone gets absorbed.

But what causes the red, rashy-like area? I mean the redness for me was pretty pronounced....it was a large area. Could it be the body's way of fighting off a foreign substance (oil)?

When I did various oils the longer esters seem like they caused less irritation. At the time I was using scripted Cypionate from a US pharmacy so my testosterone was made at the highest standards. UGL products or fast esters may be more irritating.

thank you for the input, how do you think the combination with 20 percent cream daily will work out?

To be honest, Im not a big fan of the creams and I can't think of a good reason to use a cream along side injectable testosterone.

Great topic from a few years back.

Bumping for any current users of Sub-Q injections. Where do you inject? How much? How often? How are your levels?

    Big bump on this one...

Is anyone currently running TE or Cyp sub q at high doses, as in not TRT but cycling? I'm wondering how much you can do sub q for a 10 - 12 week cycle running ED or EOD injections of TE?

    Anybody care to comment?

Sorry, I've been SQing Test Cyp for about 3 months on the advice of my endo (2.5 of 200 every 5 days.) So far so good (will have bloods next week.) I use it for TRT, but not cycling or bodybuilding. Sorry. Can't help you there.

Interesting concept but I always thought it had to be done IM. I inject 2mg once weekly to keep my T level up for energy. I have always just done so in the upper outer head of my thigh muscles. Perhaps their is something to the theory that sub-q is more stable to levels. I do know that my doc has me doing the 2mg injection once weekly. Doing it this way, at 5 days post injection the lab has put my T level at around 780. I am no expert in this but my guess is that would men that when I initially do the injection of 2mg my T levels are likely much higher, if by day 5 they are still 780.

I have heard sub Q test injections can result in caccifications developing over time, anyone hear of that?

That may very well be true Toolman. One of the matters I see is that Test is thick to say the least. Injecting it sub-q must leave one heck of a bubble for awhile. Most true sub-q meds are not near as thick as test is. I am happy for now just darting the upper outer head of my thigh. To those who wish to view this method check You Tube. If it is still on their is a doc on YouTube who actually does his own testosterone injection into the thigh.
The process is when sitting , draw a line right up the middle of your thigh from your knee to your groin crease. Then at the very middle of your thigh draw another line across the thigh , which creates a cross more or less. This divides your thigh into four equal sections more or less. Keep your test injections to the upper outer quadrant of either thigh. I have been doing this for quite some time now and it works beautiful with no pain.

Okay all I found the YouTube video that I originally learned from. Here is the link and as I said this has worked perfect for me. I imagine one could inject in other areas but this one must be a safe zone where you will not hit an artery.

I do my shots E3D 80 mgs been doing this into my thigh for 10 yrs been on TRT over 32 yrs. For the last 9 months I have been doing this shot subQ into my belly fat. I knew about Dr. Shippen doing this but my Dr. told me no subQ shots so I did them using a 27g 1ml. x 1/2" lg. needle.

And I pulled the T oil out of the vial with this small needle all you need to do is pull the plunger all the way down and hold it to get your dose takes about a min.

Dr. John has been working with Dr. Shippen and now lets his men do subQ shots. After they get leveled I can tell this works much better you don't get the rush from the shot your more level and it helps to keep Estradiol levels down.

Why no one knows all we know is it works much better then IM.

I ran across that video back in February. I been using his technique every since. I put my 34th shot in my thigh this week. No problems. After some early learning, I now shoot 50mg of Test-Cyp E6D. I have Doctor labs due in October so I will wait to see those results, but I think I need to be up around 60mg to 70mg E6D. We will see.

Are you having symptoms of low t at that dose Keri? How do u feel at your current dose?

I feel good. I have AM wood about 5 out of 7. Good sex with viagra aided. Horny most of the time. It has been better about 2 months ago, like wild libido, but I dont know why. I dont have the up and down T cycle at E6D, but I think my system has adjusted somewhat and could use a little more Test. Dont want to mess with it until I see lab results though. I guess it's possible the exogenous T has lowed my natural T (which was low to begin with) so my total T is lower after some months of injections then it was, say... in June. Just a guess.

    Keri,

Would u be willing to try 25mg e3d in stead of 50mg e6d? I think u might like it.

And BTW ur natural t is and has been long gone for a while now. Probably by the time u took ur second shot.
