I just left. Today was fucking brutal. It was by far the hardest squat/bench day I've had. Hope those wrap treat you well

These wraps are killer man. They're very thick and I had to work to find my groove in them.

A few thoughts:

I initay started by wrapping below the knee going out, overlapping each wrap by half as standard. I went a little too high wrapping above the knee which I feel gave the wraps a lot of stopping lower and less rebound. This wasn't good for me as I'm an explosive rebound squatter.

I toyed around with a few different ways of wrapping and found that 1-2wraps above the knee, maybe 2-3in max above the knee gave less stopping power and more rebound out the whole. Much better for my squatting style.

If you're a hairy bastard like me then you will be in pain from how they pull on your leg hair. These hurt more than the Inzer true black wraps I used with my coach.

All in all I really like them and with more practice wrapping and getting a good groove with them I feel like they'll be an excellent wrap for me.

I also have a pretty thick leg pelt, I know these feels.

The way I wrap mine is once above the knee, then around behind the kneecap and once around below the knee and then I make an X pattern. I also wrap towards the outside of each leg. Worth a try as I'm an explosive rebounder, too.

I started wrapping below the knee as it's just easier to get the first wrap locked in. I did the X later around the knee as well and liked it. My issue was doing too many wraps and too high of a wrap above the knee which I feel, and also from my readings, slows down your descent and give more stopping power which is better suited for a wider stanced squatter. I'm a pretty narrow stance high bar/hybrid squatter meaning it's not quite all the way up on my neck but nowhere near low bar either. I like to drop fast in the hole and really use that stretch reflex.

I'm moderately wide stance, kind of hybrid bar placement because of my lack of shoulder mobility. Fast drop, too. They're new though, you'll figure out what's best with them.

9wks out from meet date.

Wk1:

Competition squats (no wraps): x5 @9
5% load drop 1x5

Competition bench: x5 @9
5% load drop 2x5

Double paused bench (thanks Prodigal Son): x4 @9
5% load drop 3x4

BB curls: 3x8

New Iron Rebel wrist wraps are no fucking joke. Felt like a 50ton press couldn't bend my wrists lol.
