I completely agree with Doc. If space was no issue, then start them in 5 gal buckets, but plant will look so small lol.
Last weekend I got 1 new plant (strain), gorilla glue. It was a starter plant that I got from local medical dispensary for $20. It came in a solo plastic cup. I've transfered into a larger plot, but not sure of size. Then I will transfer into 3.5gal bucket. I decieded not to use 5 gal buckets due to limited room. I'd rather grow many plants using 3.5 gal buckets than less plants using 5 gal buckets.
Anybody know what the benefits of a mother plant? Is there something that a mother plant can provide that is unique? The reason why I ask is I will be flowering my original 4 plants, but was considering keeping 1 or 2 of them as mothers, but not sure if its "worth" it.
Gorilla glue is fucking awesome. Had it for the first time this weekend. Doc wholly endorses.
The benefits of a mother plant are to keep the strain going as OGH said. But you want to select the best mothers to keep going as not all strains have the same genetics.
