Meso Powerlifting Corner

Lots of warm-ups ! Bodyweight only squats for 2x10 ....then 135x6x2 . Now your ready to increase the weight....;)
That's what I've been doing. :p box squats seem to warm them up quicker than anything else I've tried once they're good and warm no pain and no debilitating next day. Yes I'm the weird guy in the corner doing box squats wearing jogging pantso_O

So I'm going to ease into the powerlifting. My knees feel like they're going to explode around the knee caps when I'm squatting. I deal with it but going heavy has me concerned. Is their wraps or braces you guys would recommend to help with this?

Welcome aboard. I like my Slingshot Strong knee sleeves. Regular use of Voodoo Floss helps a lot, too. If it's too painful there's always push/pull meets.

You might want to try knee wraps @Kakarot . Im too lazy , alot of times I dont even wear a belt . I just warm-up and go . After 5 or 6 lite sets Im usually warmed up enough for big weights .

I've got a few issues with my right knee from running/cross country in high school. Push pull is probably the only way I can do a meet but I'm still trying to incorporate squats in my normal routine. Might have to look into wraps the rehband sleeves help alot.

Been off my game for a couple of weeks now, just some speed bumps tho. As always coming off the setbacks looking to refocus and tighten up my training, and hopefully make the guy in the mirror look small and weak compared to where ill be in a few months. Here's to the journey forward after small steps back Screenshot_20160913-225354~2.png

Wish i could have a beard :(
Prolly add 35 lb to my max

Or a lifted 2 wheel drive truck
-10
Dont care how cool you think it looks
-10 for any truck 2wd or 4wd that's lifted and the only off-roading it's seen is when the tough guy behind the wheel jumps the curb to not wait for a right hand turn. Any 1ton with a 6" lift should be a cardinal sin! it makes it harder to load a quad in the back and you have to have a 8" drop hitch to tow anything, utterly useless besides that they can finally say they are 6inches raised
