Meso Powerlifting Corner

I didn't touch a bench press for like eight years and the first time i used one four years ago i hit 185x4. I guess being a bench bro when i was young had long lasting effects.

Speaking of bench I just hit an incline bench PR of 305x5 just now.
Sweet:cool:
I felt adventurous today and left the cozy confines of 315 on incline. I was happy with the results. But now my fuckin shoulder hurts :(
I believe that hurt shoulder may have been preceeded by my failed FS attempt earlier in the week. Didnt feel like unloading the bar off the safeties and attempted to power clean all 8 plates plus change up to the pegs. That was stupid:oops:

I could probably hit 315x3 on incline right now. This last 5-6 weeks is the first time I've ever prioritized incline and it's been moving up pretty quick. One of these days I'll have to do front squat and overhead press like that and see what happens. I'll be following your quest to a 495 front squat in the meantime though.

No no bro. I failed my squat attempt. Angry and didnt feel like unloading the bar. Attempted to power clean the 400+ back to the pegs. Obviously didnt make it. I dont train for it. But i felt it was a GOOD idea at the time

I don't post in here a whole lot but might as well join in with the other PLers around here. Finally got my squat back to 500 for a single and Deadlifts back to 500 for some doubles from my hamstring injury. Basically working on a bigger frame these days. More muscle to support my lifts without as much risk to injury. Working on endurance and mobility too. Got a ways to go to get what I want but I'm making progress

Crushed my old PR, 615 for easy 2 reps on deadlift, easily had 4 in me. thinking I'm going to total 1700+ when I officially compete again in 2017. I would say gear is working even though I don't get any type of mental nothing from it. new goals are 455 bench by comp in july 2017, and 705 deadlift, 605 squat. Best natural lifts were 570 squat, 358 bench, 601 dead for APF 220 @ 22 yo. Best lifts moving into PED with SARMS were 545 squat (bad knee patellar tear), 385 bench (pulled my right pec on 400 would of been easy) 615 deadlift (pulled with a bad knee). Excited to have a possible 1800+ potential when I actually reach my prime

I've said it before I'll say it again, you're a fucking hoss bro

Since we are on the subject , my bench session was killer last night. Up to 375 for easy doubles. I can prob crush 405 already but I'm setting pr's safely these days. Did alot of long pause reps at 315 as well. If I truly shoot for 100% max at the end of December I'm thinking close to 425 give or take. I'll prob take the 405 for an easy rep and be happy tho, just the way I roll these days. Longevity has became more important the past two years, staying mostly injury free.

I've got the same mentality for the gym PRs and even at my meet I didn't go 100% because I was so far ahead in first it didn't matter really. I'll set 100% when I compete nationally, I don't care much for testing my strength I just prefer to build it

Well said. I'm really a humble guy, seriously, but in my gym I have nothing left to prove.
