Could've been a lot prettier, but that'll come with time.

Yeah man, it was probably the ugliest lift of the century. I ground the shit out of it.I was rooting for ya. Mid vid i thought i was gonna see you in a wheel chair for the rest of your life. Back was at breaking point, knees were a cm away from total disaster. But you made it, congrats!
Yeah man, it was probably the ugliest lift of the century. I ground the shit out of it.
And to be honest, I probably shouldn't have done it today. I was pissed at some douche doing single DLs with 275 and slamming the bar down whilst taking selfies... then texting for 5 minutes. (We only have one power rack).. so when he was done, I went straight to 315 for reps, hit 405 for 2 sets and jumped to 505. Idk if it was ego or to make a point. ...but I won't be touching 500 again for a while.
Whaaaaaat???? I did not realize they had sectioned off a powerlifting subforum! that's awesome!
Yeah bro. PA put in some work. Im loving it.
Definitely have a good thing going here. Everyone is pitching in helping were they can.Yes, sir. Got with some of the guys a few months ago and then put the idea to Millard and he was on board with it. He made it happen for us right away. Now here we are growing the powerlifting community here more every day. I think we've got a really good thing going here.
Was that the whole session? 495 x 5 x 4 and then how many sets of 6 with 315? Trying to find some good back stuff.I did em with the safeties on the bottom rung last week and had paralyzing crippling pain for days after. About 5 days after actually. Too much lower back pull. No bueno.
Did em today 1 hole higher. Felt great the whole time. Minimal lower back stress. Im doing em for the upper back development. And im just tickled pink that its working out for me. I love this lifestyle and it truly gives me excitement to be able to revisit stuff i used to be able to do just fine.
Supersetted 495x5 rack pulls
W/
Bent barbell rows 315x6, double underhand
As the finisher.
U-N-B-E-L-I-E-V-A-B-L-E effective
Love it
Nah man.Was that the whole session? 495 x 5 x 4 and then how many sets of 6 with 315? Trying to find some good back stuff.
I like it. I'm going to move it around a little and try it this weekend... maybe with squats instead of arm work. Really smash upper and lower back. ThanksNah man.
I started out with...
BW chinups = 30 reps. No matter how many sets it took me. Just 30 reps
I usually do 60 but that is A TON at my BW and very difficult to do.
Hammer machine iso rows. Single arm at a time. All 6's today. Heavy day. Really try to keep them shoulders square and back and generate torque each rep. Little to no momentum.
Rack pulls
Superset with
Bent barbell rows (palms up)
Dumbbell rows with a special form. Wrists kinda turned to 45% angles. Weird but its a different feel. The back feels good to brace my arm against a bench like you would in a dumbbell rows. Lower back is the bitch here. Allows me to exhaust my lats and save my back
Then topped it off with behind the neck lat pulldowns
Then heavy bicep work...
All that on a peanut butter cinnamon bagel, oj and black coffee. 0300 baby
Ps.
I REALLY like the sequence. Get the lats and traps warmed up before hand. Then stretch everything down with the rack pulls. Then return to direct back work. After everything has been stretched out the contractions are multiplied by 10 it seems. Wonderful set up
Yeah buddy!I like it. I'm going to move it around a little and try it this weekend... maybe with squats instead of arm work. Really smash upper and lower back. Thanks

Congrats!!!Just set a new record on a particular fitness test that incorporates strength and your ability to push through a high intensity threshold. Think my heavy volume deadlifts and weighted HIIT session finally paid off.
