Meso Powerlifting Corner

I was gonna say 600+ for reps and only if the reason for using them is to save your hands and grip is not an issue for you.

Started working on hook grip last week and wouldn't you know, this weekend I got a big shard of glass in my thumb right in the cuticle area.... Still bleeds very easily so no hook grip for a couple days until it stops ripping open :(

haha thanks guys. I've never done any grip other than hook grip, I guess I'll just have to move up in weight slower if I can't hang into it.

I see little girls in videos doing more than me ffs

I work in glass shop and do glazing/glass fabrication all day, so i feel your painnon this. I constantly have about 20 cuts on my fingers and thumbs lol

Don't let them shame you out of mixed grip. It's less manly, but efficient. I've never had grip issues with it.

Man I got @insaiyan93 on it too and @bhog dabbling and everyone I coach in my club has to try it lol

I can do it. Earlier this year I did a few sets with 500lbs and my thumb hurt for days. I'd like it for the even lat activation, but not worth the pain to me.

To many to quote that say it hurts a little. Try popping Tylenol the day you pull with hook grip.

Or if you're working with a team and everyone is yelling at you to to lock that shit out and music blasting. I guess I don't feel it with hook grip.

I posted I article on Stretching your thumb to be able to get the most contact surface out of your hook grip and it will allow you to get the meaty portion of your thumb on the bar.
