Today went ok. Not great.

1505 total.

515 squat
405 bench
585 dead

Mostly disappointed with the deadlift. I could blame it on the high rep training I've been doing and the strongman meet last week, but no sense in excuses. I just bombed today on deads.

That's it comp wise for me this year tho. Time for some program switching and just for fun training.

No reason to be disappointed. You didn't peak for the meet and did another comp the week before. Great numbers considering there was no way you were going to perform your best in that scenario.

Yea it is what it is I suppose. Just frustrated on the deads bc I've pulled the same weight 3 meets now and I know I've got somewhere over 6 on a good day.

I understand that. I only pulled 6lbs more on my third meet than my second one. Plan for a short three week peak next time and I bet you pull well into the 600's.
 
Cmgrats on competing DW! This is the kind of shit I love reading, someone stepping up, getting on the platform.

There's no way in hell you were able to peak properly so there's no doubt a 1505 total is something to be happy about. You did great considering the unfavorable situation you were in. Next meet, if peaked right, you'll pull way more than 6 brother.
 
Anybody ever get any cupping done or compression pants? I’m going to go today and do a 90minute broken body rehab including Graston, cupping, compression pants and ART just wondering if anyone’s tried it before cause the claims are pretty unreal

I had cupping and acupuncture done once when I was first diagnosed with AS. It helped my pain for 3-4 hrs. I’m thinking under normal people’s circumstances, it probably would be great. Just not a lot can be done to relieve my issues when flaring up. I plan on every week after New Years. Hell, it’s only $60 a pop Where I had it done!

Ya it’s actually a powerlifting buddy who’s got his own Physio practice now so I’m getting 90 mins of work for 45 bucks obviously he can’t do that for me everytime but if I want to do stuff where he just applies and doesn’t need to be in the room after and I’m now taking his time it’ll be cheap or free it’s only if I’m taking his time away from other patients I’ll get any sort of charge like with ART or Graston

I’m looking for someone near me to do Graston. POB recommended I get done on my torn pec! I’m willing to try anything to get me back lifting as soon as possible.
 
Been wanting to have gratson and a.r.t. done. Not interested in the cupping really. Maybe I'm too superficial but I don't want those welts all over me.

Barely leaves a mark :oops:. I honestly look like someone with large lugged truck tires has rolled over my back the welts are so pronounced. I feel like fricken jello after 90minutes of Graston cupping and ART though, my buddy really hooked me up and I felt some very defined pops getting rid of knots entirely it is really cool but ya you gotta be okay with some discomfort during and strange looks for I dunno probably 4-5 days of healing after
 
I wish i could just move to cali and be apart of Mark bells team. It just looks so fun and positive all the time. The whole enviorment is awsome and his videos are far more informational then any channel on YouTube. Dead srs. No bodybuilding channels do the shit he does. He brings in everyone, experts in lots of diffrent things related to health. I swear if people wanted to lose weight and be all around healthier, they need to watch his content.
