You guys are some programming experts. I'm taking notes don't worry. Had a much better workout today too. Didn't miss any pulls and everything was just right in the world haha.

Nice, that's a good feeling. In season I can program pretty well, it's this far out from a meet and hypertrophy stuff I struggle with. There's a lot of research, second guessing and trial and error involved. I like to try some outside of the box things here and there trying to find stuff that works.

I appreciate it! And need it to be honest. At one point about a year ago we had a team with 10 PLers and now it's just me and my girl, she pinched a nerve so isn't able to compete. All my friends took the easy way out and are doing bicep curls and calf raises every day lolol.

Your girl competes with you?!?! That's pretty fucking awesome to be honest. My girl is going to come to my next meet which I'm hoping will be October. I'd like her to get into PL and compete one day as well.

Brooooo when I met her she was in prep to do her first bikini show lol doing an hour of fasted cardio on the stairmaster every fucking day and she HATED it. One of her meals was 10 almonds and broccoli. She's half Puerto Rican so her lower half is thick as fuck ( lucky me ;) ) also perfect for powerlifting.

She eventually dropped out of doing the show and came to the dark side. She's much happier now, she still eats clean but it's not ridiculous BB eating. Get your girl to a meet it'll rope her in.

My daughter is 13 and came to my last meet and she wants to do it too. My family is full of addicts and I'm in recovery myself (3 yrs clean off H). Hoping to help my daughter find an outlet for her addictive behavior like I have because unfortunately she 100% has it in her.
 
I knew it was coming up, I've been sick and I guess this week felt like two.

I had my fiancee on track to do a meet with me when we first got together. I had her up to 135-140x10 squat, 115x1 bench and 240x1 deadlift. She ended up aggravating an old injury and needs knee surgery now. Out of commission on full squats and heavy deads for the moment. She still lifts regularly and might do bench only with me in September though. I expect 135+ by then.

She still lifts regularly and might do bench only with me in September though. I expect 135+ by then.

Damn man that's always disappointing! Even to be able to do bench only is nice because you can still at least move forward and improve one of your lifts while rehabbing. Bench 3x weekly is beast too lol.

My girl competes 148 class and was going to compete with me next week. She's fucking strong, was on pace for around 280 squat no wraps, 180 bench and 340 deadlift. So shes really disappointed, she paid alot of money to her coach for the last 6 months and been training her ass off. I wrote her programs up to that point and she had a terrible meet so shes been motivated as hell.

Puerto Ricans, and most Latin countries, have amazing lower halves ;)

Getting your daughter into PL will give you another outlet to bind through. Plus, she'll be able to kick most guys' asses should she need to hahaha. Props to the recovery and keep it moving forward.

That's crazy strong for a female lifter. Should take first at most local meets. I think I'll be able to get mine there once her knee is all good. She hit those numbers I mentioned after only a few months. She lost interest for a long time without being able to do much lower body and just recently got back into it. She'd compete at 181 most likely (she's 5'11", almost 6').

Definitely awesome to be a couple that lifts together.

Just gotta slowly convert them over. Get them to the gym and gradually replace all their exercises with squat, bench and deadlift.

Getting her into the gym is going to be the problem. Not for a lack of desire to workout, but having two jobs and a 2yo son make things difficult. I've mentioned I'll babysit for her while she lifts so hopefully she takes me up on that when we move in together.

That's been a big obstacle with mine, too. Career and two daughters, 15 and 10. Tons of school functions during the week and then family obligations and other stuff on the weekends. She's been lifting three days a week and I'm working on increasing it to four.

Hahaha. Yea she's made me a very honest man. Not my typical Dominican or Puerto Rican flavor. This one is Peruvian. Been in states for 4 years. She can speak good enough English and I can speak passable enough Spanish that communication isn't an issue lol

Squat rack, bench and some plates in the living room. If you want it bad enough you'll find a way lol
