Normal for DNP to cause face bloat?

Hey I’ve heard stories of guys gaining significant water retention from dnp. Does this mean one’s face will be a lot puffier than normal during their dnp run? Is it dose dependent?

Yes... It's no different than a regular diet, not sure if I misunderstand your question. If all went well, you should have retained more muscle with the DNP.

Measurements stayed relatively the same (waist decreased a lot) but why does it cause substantial strength loss even though hardly any muscle is realistically lost? I only took a week off during the cycle from lifting and my lifts just went to crap.

If you dont know the answer to that simple question.... you shouldn't be using dnp in the first place man.

This is actually a very complex question to answer. The simplest explanation I can give is that part of the mechanism of action for DNP to create an environment for fat loss also creates an environment for reduced strength capability. It takes a little while to recover the strength capability you had previous to taking DNP. Muscle and strength go together, but they're also seperate from each other.

Think of strength as a cup of water. The bigger the size of your cup (muscle tissue) means you can put more water (strength) into it. You can have a really big cup (lots of muscle) but not much water (not that strong). But, you can also have a smaller cup that's filled to the brim with water (small guys with low muscle mass can be tremendously strong too). If you have a small "cup", there will be a limiting factor as to how much "water" you can put in it without needing to get a bigger cup (ie you'll eventually need to get bigger to get stronger). With that analogy in mind, DNP affects chemical responses in the "water", so it evaporates without really changing the size of the cup that holds it. Once the DNP use is stopped, you can begin to slowly fill the cup again.

Additionally, strength is not a linear quality... Especially at a high athletic level. It doesn't remain constantly the same, you cannot lift X lbs and then go on a vacation from strength training for a while and come back to lifting that same X lbs - this is true regardless of DNP, strength fluctuates and, at a certain level, it needs to be periodized to attain more of it. Just like a bodybuilder doesn't walk around at contest peak 24/7, a powerlifter isn't peaked everyday.

Also, did you gain any weight after your DNP run once glycogen levels returned to normal?

The glycogen refill and the water retention drop tend to be kind of a wash for me so I only notice a few lbs regained. I do tend to go into a short hypertrophy phase after DNP sometimes to take advantage of the insulin sensitivity though and gain a few lbs there but it's very lean gains and I don't get too extreme with it.

Dude has been asking questions for 3 plus weeks now, starting to think he's trolling now. Eman has a lot more patience than me.

Only problem I have are most of the questions are too user specific to be very valuable to others reading. I'll keep answering until I don't think the answers are helpful to others anymore.

Strength question was actually a good one, it's just too complex to answer without sounding like a biology textbook - I expect very few people to have an understanding of that mechanism.

I've definitely got a ton of info from this thread, appreciate ball the info!

Calm down. I don’t see how I’m trolling by asking questions to a specific person. Curiosity is a thing, you know? Perhaps you’re better off ignoring my thread rather than letting it bother you so much that you had to make a snide comment and accusation. Seriously, if you’re going to be useless in a thread, just don’t participate. Literally all you have to do is just ignore it as nobody here even mentioned nor thought about you.

Since it takes DNP a week to leave one’s body, does that mean my TDEE is still higher than normal that first week off?

Hi @Eman Do you have any logics to join clembuterol with dnp? I've read it would be smart if the only goal is to lose fat and maintain muscle mass, but it seems like a very aggressive protocol

It would be okay but only if you have experience with both drugs separately. More attention needs to be paid to body temp when using it.

Personally, I'm not a fan of clen - I think it's worse on sides than DNP. I am much more a proponent of ephedrine. If you want to use a beta agonist, ECA is a much better choice, IMO. It is very synergistic with DNP too, so is clen but ECA is all around a bit better.
