The belief that being poor and helpless is a bad thing? I really doubt that's an ideal limited to western cultures. Though only in rich western cultures can people afford to subscribe to neo-liberal thinking to believe and push for the exact opposite.

I was already aware of your propensity for taking my words out of context, but now you're just making shit up.
People in NK are slaves. They own nothing at all, because everything they produce belongs to the state. They also possess no means of resisting the state, through force or legal redress.
In this thread I have made exactly zero comments on happiness, perceived happiness, material wealth or luminescence. You should try responding to what I post instead of rewriting my posts to fit your response.

Hey, look at that, we agree on something. I'll take it a little further and say not only would you not repeat my values, you are unable to comprehend them. Self determination is an alien concept to some.
The last time you suspected I was in a bad mood, I wasn't. Nor am I now. I already gave you my values: self determination.
I never met God, not even on the corner of first and Armistad. But if you're interested in what I personally think about equality, I would say, free men are not equal, and equal men are not free. It works the same with gender neutral language, I'm just too lazy to rephrase it.
