For real this time ?
Seems we have heard this befor.
How do you know that youre not still stuck in the same old groove and just back to the beginning again?

I got it all worked out bro's. 300 mg TRT for life at age 31. I'd rather live young and happy than old and miserable.

Blood tests every 6 months for liver function, kidney function, lipids, full blood count, PSA, T, E2 and SHBG. Discard a pint of blood every 2-3 months. Digital rectal exam every other year. I'm gonna do it. Make this work. I don't need a doctor. My cousin is a doctor. Maybe she'll help me in the future?

This is my life. This is my story.

What about alcohol?

That's the first thing on my list to beat, once and for all. I'm going to try and quit smoking at the same time.

Btw, does anyone if alcohol raises blood pressure? Mines been creeping up.

Not had a drink today. Bought some more glucometer test strips. Sugar is spiking now after eating even a Mars bar. I can't believe this. After everything that's going on with me, fucking diabetes sticks its ass in my face.

Well...........A Mars Bar has 43.6 g of sugar. That's 11 teaspoons of sugar. What did you expect? Like I told you before. Nothing will get fixed until you stop the alcohol.

Yea, What he said. Pretty normal result of big dose of sugars. Etoh does the same thing and also activates inflamatory pathways in the liver metabolism. Ever try taking an ounce or two of vodka in a BIG bottle of water with some lemon juice for flavor and seeing how long you can sip on it. ? Outta last an hour at least.

When I was a drinker my blood pressure was up. I don't know why. Alcohol made my heart pound hard, along with the cigarettes.
Saying you haven't had a drink today is like a junkie saying he hasn't shot up in 2 hours.
Not having a drink today is a good start but its really no big accomplishment. I haven't had a drink today either, or yesterday, or last week, last month and not even last year.
Get 30 days under your belt, then 90 and so on....
I think anyone who eats a Mars bar will have spiked blood sugar by the way

Will my blood sugars drop back to normal if I stay off alcohol? My fasting glucose is normal but sugar spikes one after eating and most of the time it's dropped back down to normal after two hours post meal. From what I've been reading up, I have impaired glucose tolerance. I'm in the early stages of diabetes. The thing is though, theres no fat on me what so ever. I don't understand.

The weird thing is guys, I'm getting better wood now that my LH and T have dropped. T is now 290, 342 ngdl. When T and LH was elevated, libido was fucked, dead dick 100%. Does screaming LH kill your dick more than low T?

Lundbeck Anti-Binge Drinking Drug Helps Cut Intake 66% in Clinical Trials - Bloomberg

Results of the final stage of clinical trials showed nalmefene helped curb drinking more than a placebo and medical advice, Lundbeck said in a presentation at a medical meeting in Prague today. Nalmefene users reported a 64 percent to 79 percent drop in total alcohol intake, compared with 49 percent to 64 percent for those on placebo, Copenhagen-based Lundbeck said.

Scally,
What are your views on this? Its the only descent account I could find. May not be the best source of a medical journal. Do you have access to the rest of it ? Do you know of any others which support hypnosis in clinical journals.

Hypnosis in the Treatment of Alcoholism - SMITH-MOORHOUSE - 2006 - British Journal of Addiction to Alcohol & Other Drugs - Wiley Online Library

Hypnotherapeutic approaches to the treatment of alcoholism.

IF there was anything at all to hypnotherapy, there would not be very many alcoholics. It is BS. Further, to support the failure of hypnotherapy for alcoholism is the fact the cites are from over 40 years ago with no positive follow-up.

Does anyone think that obesity & alcoholism have some central mechanism/factors in common.

I'm staying off that shit if it is spiking my sugars. Low T also causes glucose intolerance. Mines dropped like a rock. I've changed diet, sticking to low carb for now. Cut out all junk, fast, food, chocolates, crisps, bread, potatoes, rice, pasta etc.. The only carbs I'm getting is from skimmed milk and low fat yoghurt and a little in some veg and fruit. I can't believe I got this to worry about now. I don't have an inch of fat on me.

I once had a post hypnotic suggestion planted that cigarettes tasted very bad. Didnt smoke much that day. It wore off by the next day. Would think it quite effective with proper reinforcement . But requires motivation and commitment. If you have those you dont really need the hypnosis. Might make it easier tho.
