Perrin Aybara's Journey to an Elite Powerlifting Total

Been reading more on the glucose and I think I'm seeing why it may be high. In the past before they closed the Quest Diagnostics near me I always went before work. Fasted if doing cholesterol or about an hour after breakfast. Monday I had breakfast, lunch, and two shakes in me, one shake on the way there after work and it had a banana in it. So possibly just higher from having been eating all day and immediately before the blood was drawn. Still gonna follow up, but less worried now.
Yep I have had scares like that till I realized I forgot when I ate last before the blood draw. I found that stopping all food intake (except for water) after 8PM then going for the blood draw at 8AM the next morning works and glucose levels are where they should be.

Yiu still at it big guy ..

Of course, never slowed down a bit. Came really close to a 700lb pull at a meet a few months ago. Looking to try again this spring either at a meet or just in the gym.

How's things your way?

Yeah, I used to go before work and then they closed the local blood draw place recently and this time I went after work. Didn't even think about the fact I'd been eating all day at first. I'd have to have the day off to go in the morning now with this other blood draw place being further away.

Oh that sucks having to do that

Still out of commission on lower body. Did some bench Wednesday. Today tried some deadlift up to 385lbs and still felt some discomfort in my hamstring and stopped there. Hopefully by next Saturday I can get back to normal training. Did work up to 350x3 slingshot bench today with no pain.

Seated dumbbell overhead press 60's x10, 70's x10, 80's x10

Chin ups x12, x12, x10

Hamstring still has a dull ache. Looking like upper body only again this week and hopefully by this weekend can at least deadlift light.

On a somewhat related note started running some muave tops at 3iu/day on Friday. Got them to help with recovery on this push to a 700lb deadlift, but maybe can help with this, too.

Blood work is looking solid my dude. I was coming to ask if you had eaten before your bloodwork, but I see you already figured that out. Your glucose is definitly a tad high because of food.

Let me know how you like those Mauves. Contemplating finally pulling the trigger on gh(after like 2 years lol) And looking at those specifically

If I can get a morning off work later this month I'd like to get cholesterol and IGF-1 checked. I started some var at 50mg/day not too long ago, but if my hamstring doesn't get better I'm gonna drop it until it does. Anyway, no sides yet from the HGH, but might not even get any at only 3iu.

Also started some creatine for the first time in many years. Would've said it was a waste, but @Eman mentioned in a thread it had some synergy with anavar and I looked into it and figured it was worth a try. I'd like 2019 to be a mild year as far as PEDs for me. Just TRT dose test, low dose HGH, and some var here and there. No need for AI or blood pressure medicine and I still feel like I can make progress.

But yeah, I'll keep you posted on the muave tops.

Bench 265x3, 265x3, 265x3, 265x12

Front squat 225lbs for 4x4

Close grip bench 225x10, 225x10, 225x15

Banded kneeling squats 3x20

Neutral grip pull downs 2x12

Adductors and abductors with bands 2x20

No pain on bench and no pain on front squats, so a good day. Gonna go moderate on 5x5 deadlift Saturday and hopefully resume normal training next week.

Was testing the waters on some light deadlift today, got 3x5 with 495lbs and on the second rep of the fourth set felt the same kind of pop in my hamstring except worse this time. Looks like I might have to take the rest of this month off lower body. Gonna drop the var for now as well.

Damn...could well be time to go get that checked out before it causes you even more serious issues down the road. Maybe deep tissue massage in the cards?

I guess I'm gonna see how it feels in a few days. I don't have a doctor, so I'd rather not have to go through all that. Maybe go for a chiropractor visit. On second thought I might keep running the var for whatever healing benefits it has and just focus on bench for the next month.

In your case that's fair enough...injury would be very bad indeed.

Damn it. Were you just running the var with cruise dose test?

Yeah, running 150mg a week of test cyp, 50mg a day of var, and 3iu a day of muave tops. I'm already like 8-9 days in on the var, I think I'm just gonna finish out this month with it and hit upper body and bench hard. Might be good for recovery of this hamstring thing.
