Perrin Aybara's Journey to an Elite Powerlifting Total

I'm still lifting four days a week like usual, just not doing anything worth putting in here. Just doing 5x5 on everything lower body and slowly adding weight trying not to get reinjured. Just getting back into the high 200's and low 300's on squat and deadlift. Feeling okay so far. Gonna be out of town for most of the next two weeks, so gonna hit gyms on the road and when I get back I'm gonna start working back up into real weight. It'll be 10+ weeks post hamstring injury by then and that's gotta be enough time. Got some var and drol I'm gonna run once I'm most of the way back to normal, perhaps bump test up to 500-600mg a week

Oh yeah, made some diet changes over the last couple months I can't remember if I mentioned. Girlfriend has been doing keto, so I've been eating keto dinners most nights. Also been eating dinner earlier, so going fasted 12-14 hours each day. Cut out all fruit except strawberries and reduced sugar intake a lot. With all this and the HGH I've noticed some improvements in body composition. Weight is still about 205ish most days.

Still alive and training. Been taking a bunch of over the road jobs lately. Our other driver just had a baby and I'm still getting over this injury anyway. I'm way out west this week.

Squat 315x5x5
Deadlift 405x5x5

Still in super light territory, but it's moving fairly well and no pain in the hamstring.

That’s a good work load for me , lol

Very nice dude, recovery coming along nicely

It worked my endurance pretty hard. All this behind the wheel time, no cardio, and taking it easy in the gym is wrecking my endurance.

Yeah, taking two months off seemed to do the trick. I think the time off hurt my squat a lot more than my deadlift. Going by how I felt today I think I could still pull low 600's right now, but squat probably be lucky to hit 425x1. Either way I'm gonna work back up slowly and hopefully still pull 700lbs before the year is over.

I would say let's race but you'd bend me over in that competition lmao

I always have the same issue though, squat always dissipates much quicker. Comes back quick though don't worry!

@theprodgicalson is gonna beat both of us to seven hundo. He's already there, just hasn't made it official yet. I was really close last year and my meet peak just didn't come together the way I wanted it to.

Worked up to 465x2 deadlift, no pain

Overhead press 135lbs for 3x10

Belt squats 3x15

Chin ups 3x10

Adductors and abductors with bands 3x20

My 60 year old buddy I'm training also hit 465x2 on deadlift today. He's got a meet coming up and I think he's got a good shot at 500+.

Squat 335lbs for 5x3

Block pull 550lbs for 3x1

Front squat 185lbs for 5x5

Chest supported row 3x15

Hamstring curl 3x15

Also down to 203lbs currently

I have a lot of fear now of my hamstring. I think it's fine, no pain during lifting, but it's like I'm so focused on it after that I'm imagining slight pain. Pretty standard post injury for me. I'll need a couple months of lifting heavy to get my mind right again.
