Perrin Aybara's Journey to an Elite Powerlifting Total

Just came back from a chiropractor. Kinda tweaked my lower back on that lockout yesterday. He said it was probably just some inflammation from possibly twisting a bit while locking that deadlift out. I'm only working a couple hours tomorrow and a couple hours Saturday, so worked out well for resting. Gonna test a triple on bench either tomorrow or Wednesday and triple or double on squat either Thursday or Friday. Would like to see around 395x3 on bench and either 470x3 or 485x2 on squat.

Also applied for a job today that would pay around $30/hour. Should hear back in the next two weeks. Would be really awesome if I got it.
Hope you get it, brother!!

Too bad you don't live a little up north. I'd fucking hire you no questions asked. Not sure about $30/hour. Lol. But definitely at least $21/hour cash. Lol. Like today when I had to carry 30 sheets of 4x10 drywall drywall up a couple flights of stairs it would've been nice to have a 700lbs deadlifter there. Ha.

If I ever move up that way might come learn a few things. How big an area do you do that in? Fairly local, I'm guessing? I still wanna get into rentals eventually.

I try to stay within 20 mins of where I live and within 30 minutes of the main "big city". So travel is pretty minimal.

If you ever see a place that you might be interested in, feel free the shoot over the details to me. I could let you know if there is anything you're missing that you didn't catch in your offer, the property, etc

Hard to get a good spot sometimes.... had that last week almost. I seen him going to grab the bar and snapped no at him lol

I know it. Why I don't ask for a lift off. I guess I wasn't specific enough explaining to this guy about not touching it.

Yep. You got that 440 lb press in you already

I think I'll open with like 385ish, whatever the kilo equivalent is. Then go from there.

According to some literatures I have read (Boris Sheiko and other Russian Coaches) You should do the 1st attempt at 90% and the adjust. What do you think about that Perrin? you have more knowledge and way more experience, do you think that it is a good idea?

Pretty close to that. 90% is about a triple and that's about what I want my first attempts at. They should be fast and smooth to set the mood. Usually you'd hit some max triples two weeks out and those would be your openers.

My squat fucking sucks. I think I'm just gonna do push pull again. Just worked up to 480x1 @RPE 10. I'm nowhere near where I need to be. Lower back still hurts pretty bad from Sunday, too. It's crazy weight I could probably do for 25 reps on deadlift is a max effort single on squat.

Perhaps time to work on squats again even though deadlifts are your forte? Thought you had some reasonable decent numbers for squat in the past.
