Perrin Aybara's Journey to an Elite Powerlifting Total

Santa monica babe... XD guess what did help me getting better?

I was bashed so hard by telling that to a strong powelrifter at that time ( his total was 1800 at 190) he is involved with the kabuki lab or soemthing like that. He told me bitch your form is bad and you suck xD learn how to stretch, dont increase your volume from 10 to 100 and re learn the form and practice it ( my form was good tho for a beginner xD) lol felt so stupid hahaah.

I somehow get the same advice from joe sullivan through instagram :D

Llove them anyway...

I should trust the process and follow a program that suits me (amount of volume, intensity...) and dont complicate things but again it sounds cool and easy to follow...

I just bought some used Olympic shoes on Ebay for really cheap. Figured before shelling out $100+ on some new ones not knowing if I like them or not I'd trial run some cheap used ones first.
Not a bad idea. Those shoes are not cheap for sure. Make sure they are in your size first.

208lbs

Trap bar deadlift 575x5, 625x5, 625x5, 625x5

Touch and go bench 225x15, 225x15, 225x15
Then put on slingshot and did 225x25

Belt squats 90x15, 135x15, 170x15, 170x15 (tried these a new way, will post a pic of setup below

Quadruped rows 60lb short barbell 3x10 each side
Superset with
Hamstring curls 3x10

First time doing trap bar in a long time. Decided not too push the weight or volume too far today. Also wore a belt and knee sleeves, which I usually don't. Felt easy and no back pain at least. Also straps because that bar wrecks my hands.

On bench still haven't decided what to do on this Saturday slot and just screwed around. Doing the slingshot on the last set didn't make near as much difference as I thought. I guess because my triceps fatigue first on high reps.

The belt squats I tried standing on the assisted dip/pull up machine and it worked well.

It was a little sketchy alone with the cheap gym belt. Think I'm gonna order a Spud inc belt squat belt and loading pin. Then when I have someone else here I can rest the weight on a bench and they can pull it out when I start and put it back when I'm done.

Set 2 of 3 of 625x5 trap bar deadlift. I think I really might try for 800x1 in the next few months. I hit 755x1 beltless a couple years ago back when my regular deadlift max was still 600lbs. Should have 800lbs in me now with a little practice.

Great as always!!! Perrin i find trap bar deadlift way harder than my usual conventional deadlift.. Is thst normal tho?

I always wear oly shoes when squatting to as deep as possible ( atg). With a regular shoes i cant hit that depth and my ankle hurts.

High handle trap bar should almost always be easier, low handle I guess would depend on you. I'm doing high handle to overload my quads and upper back/traps.

I have pretty good ankle and hip mobility anyway. I read they can help with a more upright back angle on high bar squats and that's what I'm interested in. We'll see how they work soon.

205lbs

SSB squat 335x3, 350x3, 350x3, 350x9

SSB good morning 155lbs for 3x8

Dumbbell step ups 70's for 3x5 each leg

Did half my accessories and called it a day. Tweaked my left knee on step ups. Gonna drop these. Single leg stuff sounded good in theory. Still feeling discomfort in my lower back too. Might just do like two weeks of strictly belt squats for lower body and give my lower back a break. I don't know yet.
