Perrin Aybara's Journey to an Elite Powerlifting Total

Yes, if there was something fairly local I'd give it a shot. It looks fun. I'd just have to really work on my overhead press. I'm pretty good with farmers walks and yoke walks and obviously deadlift. Done a few tire flips, but not much else strongman wise.
Yean Mighty Mouse did a local strongman show and he had fun so you might as well get to learn new things along the way.

I’m all for spicy, I put siracha , crushed red pepper, chili garlic sauce, Serrano, etc on all kinds of shit. However, There’s a point where it’s not even worth paying for something like that though.
I used to have terrible heartburn on all that until I got some Omeprazole from the doc and that has helped.

Good you are still above 200 so that must be a good sign.

206lbs this morning

Wide stance SSB squat 245x10, 275x10, 300x10, 300x10, 300x10

SSB good mornings 155lbs for 3x8

Step ups 55lb dumbbells for 5x5 each leg

Ab wheel 3x20
Superset with
Quadruped row 60lbs 3x10
Superset with
Hamstring curls 3x10

20 minutes incline treadmill

Sets of 10 squats kicked my ass. Also tried using a belt with SSB squats and it made a huge difference in how stable they felt. Usually doesn't with more upright movements, but maybe due to the weights being slightly forward. Will be using a belt from here on.

Unsure if I'll go right back to conventional block pulls or keep good mornings in for awhile. Step ups still just experimenting with single leg stuff, they were a little difficult anyway.

I always use a belt on SSB or the camber squat bar because how much it makes me round upper back, the weight sit a bit in front of mid foot on both and it’s extra stress on the spine

A sexy powerlifter hahaaha. Did your lift drop aftsr the cruise?

My bench has definitely taken a hit, but I lost like 10lbs of water my first week post blast, so that's probably part of it. Haven't went very heavy on anything since the meet. Did 3x10 with 300lbs SSB squats yesterday, did 375x3 front squat the week before, 325x5 bench last week, and 565x10 deadlift the week before last.

I'm sure my 1RM strength is down a bit right now since I've cut carbs and lost a little weight. It'll come right back and more when it's time though. Just need a little break from heavy weight and might as well get kinda lean.
