Perrin Aybara's Journey to an Elite Powerlifting Total

205lbs

SSB squat 335x3, 350x3, 350x3, 350x9

SSB good morning 155lbs for 3x8

Dumbbell step ups 70's for 3x5 each leg

Did half my accessories and called it a day. Tweaked my left knee on step ups. Gonna drop these. Single leg stuff sounded good in theory. Still feeling discomfort in my lower back too. Might just do like two weeks of strictly belt squats for lower body and give my lower back a break. I don't know yet.
Ouch...hate when that happens and it takes about a week or so for the pain to go away. Not trying to sound like an ass but seems you been punishing yourself and the hurts keep coming so maybe a time to back off heavy stuff for a bit?

That's the conclusion I've come to as well. I should probably tone training down a little during this period, but it's such a foreign concept.
I did it for about a month earlier in the year after my winter blast. Was hitting 20 rep sets of s/b/d. S/s bench rows, s/s squats cleans, s/s deadlift rows etc. hit some machines , buncha dbell stuff, jump rope, hit the heavy bag , treadmill (mostly separate days with all this shit) Just an idea of what I was doin. It was actually pretty fucking intense because I wasn’t resting much between sets. Dropped a fair amount of fat. Got bored with it after a bit and went back to training heavy. Pulled 500 shortly after and hit some squat PR’s not too long after as well. I think it really primed me for some strength improvements , basically like a gpp/hypertrophy block. Was dieting during this time period as well.

205lbs

At the gym doing some early fasted cardio before work. Definitely feeling the low back this morning, so I'm thinking leg press for all squat movements and belt squat for all deadlift movements for awhile.

Definitely noticing body composition changes with all I'm doing. Had to trim some body hair to actually be able to see it lol.

Got to say sorry, I did it again.

First wife issues and now knee issues....

Still no girlfriend issues luckily.

My knee is still tender and sore at times. Just going to play by ear. Body comp, damn I wish I was having better luck with that... still not doing cardio and diet while not horrible could be cleaner.

I am happy to hear no GF issues, the knee one sucks.

Got these Olympic shoes today. Probably won't get to try them out for a week or two. Felt pain in my back off and on all day at work today. I think a week or two off squats and deadlift is in order to be safe.

This cut/recomp is going really well at least. Seems like almost daily changes in body composition.

My mom and stepdad are shorthanded at their restaurant today, so I'm going to help them out for most of the day. Gonna hit the gym right after for my temporary taking it easy on the lower back routine.

All meals for the rest of the day prepped plus pre, intra, and post workout shakes ready to go. They have 700 reservations, so it's gonna be an insane day. And yes, I need a new cooler and also the pumpkin spice bars were on sale for $0.39 and they're actually not bad.

Damn Perrin , they’re puttin your ass to work! You got some monster mash in there?

One peanut butter and jelly on a low carb wrap, two tuna salad on low carb wraps, two bags of four servings of mozzarella each, two bags of one serving each peanuts and almonds, two 16oz bottles of carbmaster milk, and that random protein bar.

Forgot to weigh this morning

Blood glucose was 88 first thing

60 minutes fasted incline treadmill

Started putting a green tea bag in my black coffee today before fasted cardio. Supposedly has some fat burning benefits and any possible little bit helps. Also got my GNC free sample box that has some pill that has yohimbe in it. Figured for free might as well throw it in before fasted cardio as well.

Fat loss update from this morning. Definitely seeing some changes. Just trying to ignore the temporary strength loss and stick with it. This back injury will actually make it easier because I'm going to have to take some time off squat and deadlift. Doing SSB Tuesday and picking up those 100lb dumbbells last night for incline press made it worse.

On a related note just ordered a Spud inc. belt squat belt with loading pin on a big discount for Black Friday. Looking forward to trying it out next week.
