Perrin Aybara's Journey to an Elite Powerlifting Total

First workout in the new rack...needs to be anchored after all. Just in time too, some small businesses owners started boarding up their windows. Settling in for the time being, shit gets weird I'll be poppin smoke to the farm...

Wow that's a nice setup and the mirror is a nice touch. I am sure you'll have some members here wanting to come over and train with you, lmao.

Very nice. Did it try to move on you without being anchored?
Its manageable but u need to be careful when moving some weight I wouldnt want to miss an attempt. I def wouldnt feel comfortable puttin a loaded bar on the safety arms the way they are set up in the pic on the front. It's suprisingly light even with 225 loaded i pulled the whole rack away from the wall a few inches easily to create enough room to slip the incline bench in. Wish I had some 100lb wagon wheels, lowes and home depot were still open today may try to make some boxes. We start a "legally enforceable" curfew tomorrow here, see how that fuckin goes...

I bought some 3/4" horse trailer mats from Rural King and cut them into eight smaller squares for block pulls up to 3". If I need taller I throw some 45's under the bottom one. Cost about $40. Guess I'm gonna look into anchoring this rack.

The stores closing before I get the cash and can buy scares me right now. One thing I wont do is order it as delivery may get affected and I wont get it in time

That's my concern. I've looked on Amazon Prime and some stuff is saying April and even May delivery dates on gym equipment.
I saw that too and I figured there's been a run on gym equipment just like there is with TP, Lysol sprays and hand sanitizer. Go figure.

Not to mention the price of shipping the items...insane. I was quoted $70 for shipping a set of adjustable dumbbells.

You could get some J-hook weight holders on amazon to help stabilize for cheap, but if your going over 350lbs then definitely bolt it down.

Idle hands aren't good for TEK, it was a hefty investment but I have to burn out physically or I run the risk of burning out mentally at times. Small price to keep me out of the jar liquor all day...

I gotta rig a carpet mill up for the dogs next or they will drive us all off the deep end...

edit: bolting is gonna be necessary, If I go down it would put too much strain on those around me. Cant risk it

Hang in there TEK. Looks like my great state of NH is going to be next as I got info the governor may be announcing a semi-lockdown up here sometime tomorrow. Will see what transpires.

My former home state of CT is practically locked down now.

Today would've been the last day of Sheiko Advanced Medium Load prep cycle 2. Going on to prep cycle 3 would have me max the week after next. I think with everything going on, starting this night shift job tomorrow, and having to get my own home gym setup I'm going to start over with prep cycle 1 with slightly increased training maxes.

I'll drop the MK 677 and Anavar and just continue to cruise on 150mg of test a week. I started the HGH back up two days ago at 2iu a day as well.

Rather than continuing the var and trying to max in less than optimal conditions while still trying to adjust to a new schedule I think running the first two prep cycles again with higher maxes will be a better plan. Then a few months from now hop back on some var and continue on into the third prep cycle after being more accustomed to my new schedule and hopefully either be back in a gym or have my home setup complete.

Thoughts? You guys think I'm making the right call here? Haven't even been on the var two full weeks yet, so not a huge deal. Been running a cruise dose of test since October.

Onviously you and pretty much everyone here had more knowledge about PL than me.But from my perspective this is a solid plan.

You can always restart the Var and up dosages when life has calmed down a bit and you have some regularity in your day to day.

I wish i could.
I'm about 4 weeks into a blast.
I'm going to ride it through for 10 weeks I think,
My work is pretty much shutdown, so my workouts have been high intensity for 2 hours plus.

But you still have to work .... and a new job through all this bullshit.

Prudent call in my opinion.

Like I said not even two weeks in adding var to a cruise dose of test, so no major loss. Marathon and not a sprint and all that. Repeat of the last ten weeks 5-10lbs heavier on each set will be good. Plus more cruise time is always good.

Good time to stay healthy as well to be honest.

the orals especially are pretty hard on us... even if it is just Var.

You're out there working through all this shit, be safe

Agree as well PA, I would too drop my var if I wasn't 5 weeks in on it and only a couple left. Plus still have a gym to go to. Even if my gym shut down I would probably ride out the last 2 weeks as not worth saving, imo. Making calls today to see if I can get my home gym equipment.

Picked up a bench and some plates. Got around 600lbs in plates total now. Regular bar, deadlift bar, SSB, front squat harness, belt squat belt, farmers carry handles, a variety of bands, bench block, deadlift mats, and various odds and ends.

Will start back up the first prep cycle of Sheiko tomorrow. It'll look like this with the slightly increased maxes.
