Got I inspired by the idea of rep max so I AMRAP my final deadlift set and puked in a local Rec centre. They wouldn't let me clean it up either which sucks felt like a dick but I did lockout the rep so that's a win.

Deadlift 465 3x3 with the final AMRAP of 6 reps
Sumo 225 3x6 too easy should up this significantly but oh well
Rack pulls under knee 495 3x3
Back extension 4x16 with 25pounds behind head
Shrugs 225 4x12
Planks for a while didn't record time figured about 15 mins total between side planks and reg

Hot tub and suana stretch was lovely and the reason I did this at a rec centre

Ate in a 500 cal surplus yesterday which was great and eating maintenance today.

Going for the high carb low fat diet starting Monday see how that helps with curbing my crazy appetite.

Last set AMRAP is awesome, what did you think of it? Should put your 1RM around 530-545 in my opinion.
 
It was pretty good first 3 came up real smooth and quick 4th and 5th were good too but had to put in a lot of effort but still took the pause at the bottom so there is no bounce or anything straight from static but 6th rep I bounced it in haste and I think that made me clench extra hard and the reason I puked. Overall very happy never ripped more then 5 with anything over 405 cause I don't AMRAP deadlifts so was cool to see. If I could pull 525 I would be happier then a kid on xmas we shall see were I'm at feb 20th
 
I like deadlift AMRAPs, makes you feel alive. I've never puked though, I have seen stars, spots, got tunnel vision, ringing in the ears, out of breath and heart pounding beyond what most cardio ever does. You should have 525 for sure, if not more.
 
Rodger, what wrist wraps do you use? I know you have it posted somewhere but I can't find the pic

Glad to see I'm not the only one who occasionally hurls. :D Usually happens to me with squats, I'll be doing 10x10 and about set 8 whatever is in my stomach comes up. After the first time I kept a trash can handy. And I still finish out the 9th and 10th sets.

Great lifts today!
 
Thanks doc, did you try your outlaw wrist wraps yet?

Not yet. Today was squats, touch and go bench, CG incline bench, shrugs, and DB curls. I usually only wear the wrist wraps for competition bench unless the wrist is bothering me. Comp bench will be done this Tuesday so I'll use them then.

I did put the wrist wraps on at home a few times just to see what they felt like and GODDAM! They are definitely a casted wrap. No give whatsoever in the wrist but that wasn't with a loaded bar. Also can barely open my fingers with them on which is a good sign lol

I did use the knee wraps and wrote my thoughts about them down in my log if interested.

@turcao I use SBD medium trading ones I've tried the composition ones and they are way too stiff. Rob has the same ones as me and I believe he likes them also I think they are the perfect amount of support and comfort and built to last.

@lightspan ive hurled only once during squats and maybe 5 times on deadlift but only little ones that I could get back down this was projectile and violent lol.

No stretch today was crunched for time

Right knee started to have pain 2nd warm up set of squats used the voodoo floss and did 10 BW squats took it off boom no pin I fricken love that thing.

Last night I had a crazy night at work and burned a lot more calories then I ever have in a day but this made me bing eat like crazy afterwards I could not get full. I'm assuming I burned roughly 4000+ cals in a 6 hour period and then another 2200 throughout the rest of the day so somewhere around 6000 cals burnt total but ended up eating somewhere around 7-8k cals can't be exactly sure as food was provided to me at work and I really didn't hold back. Weight was 183 this morning because of it but I'll get it back down and hopefully can make it to the 175 goal within the month now as time is no longer on my side. I've been overly focused on strength goals and I still don't want to sacrifice that so I'm planning on upping my cardio now and maybe looking into some substances that can aid me in my journey.

On another note playing pool and working out is great!image.jpeg

Threw out my back at work pushing my body beyond what it's capable of doing, I could sense an injury was going to insue but I needed to push beyond it this time and the injury did insue. I'm taking off from work now going to get some muscle relaxants and take a hot recovery salts bath then put my pulse massager on it and a heat patch for overnight. Then Ima hit the Chiropracter up in the morning and the hottub and suana and try and stretch and relax this muscle. Hopefully I'm not going to have to modify very much in my future workouts but I'll just have to see how I feel by Wednesday after all the recovery action.

Sorry to hear and hoping for a speedy recovery (theres been a few injuries on here lately). Even bears gotta slow down sometime. Relax and get a picnic basket.
 
Sucks to hear man but try inversion. Has been helping me with my back. You could get a table but I just do it with a resistance band and pull up bar or power rack.
